Here is an idea. If Microsoft are now giving away 2 free games to download each month for XBL gold account holders why dont they make one of the months a free download for all DLC MAPS for Reach and then make it compulsory to have DLC to play in Certain MM types.
It would probably increase the population a little, give us some other maps to play on and help all those players whom still want to get DLC achievements.

Apparently, its Microsoft’s policy that DLC expansions cannot be me made free if they have achievements tied to them (which is the case with Halo Reach’s map pack, although All Gears of War 1 and some of Red Dead Redemption’s DLCs contradict this).
I agree with your GOW comment and add to it the whole concept of giving away free games contradicts the policy of the DLC map packs being tied to achievements because games are tied to achievements as well. They are giving away a possible 1000 minimum gamer score with every game they make free to download.

I could have worded it better. The policy only covers additional content, not full games from Games on Demand (since they are a complete game, and you need them to use the additional content).

Because what’s the point in giving dlc for a game if we don’t have it? Plus a full game is worth more because it’s ‘playable’, a map pack without the game is worthless/useless. -_-
