It was bad enough that like 3/4 quick play matches I would play would end up being Slayer and now they’re adding Attrition, a mode I literally do not want to play at all, to quick play. Great. Tbh the fact that the game doesn’t just have a “build your own playlist” option like Splitgate has is pretty weak considering like two dudes made that game. I shouldn’t be forced to play game modes I don’t want to play just so I can play the ones that I do, and worse you get penalized for leaving too many matches even if you get fed 5 slayer matches in a row. I just don’t understand the logic at all.

How else are they going to get you to buy challenge swaps? They invented a brand new issue that didn’t exist in previous games and theres a super convenient monetized solution. It won’t get better. They’ll just keep ‘missing the mark’ on challenges and issuing a limp apology

Yeah it’s really dumb. I’m not spending a cent on the multiplayer though, and I hope others follow suit, because the only way to stop them from creating problems and selling the solution is to not pay for it.

Update: the last 5/7 matches have been attrition. What the hell is going on?

Checked Halo tracker to confirm. Last night FIVE OUT OF SEVEN quick play matches were Attrition, and the other two were both CTF on Bazaar. The night before, three out of seven quick play matches were Attrition (which is still egregious in a matchmaking playlist with now FIVE modes), another THREE were literally ALL CTF on Bazaar, and the last one was Slayer. Fourteen -Yoink!- matches and not a SINGLE Oddball or Strongholds, which are what I actually want to play the most. There is something seriously wrong with the matchmaking.

Oh yeah not only that but all those quick play games and didn’t get the new map even ONCE.
Based on everybody’s tracking of QP Games is very evident that 343 has manipulated their Matchmaking algorithms to promote Attrition at the expense of objective game modes…. That is pathetic 343! Is that what this franchise has come to??

why would they that’s not how they sell challenge swaps, either wade through the trash that is quick play to maybe get the mode you want or shell out money for the swaps
I’m actually really disappointed that all those cool new modes in rumble pit playlist are FFA. Rocket repulser, sword and grapple and vampireball would be fun as team games and it would’ve been great to talk my friends into playing the new modes with me. Also, I agree with you and have only played vampireball because the game has never put me into those other new modes.

I’m guessing 343 could put in a match composer or separate objective modes into their own playlist but that doesn’t sell swaps, everything they do is to wring as much money out of the player base as possible
