i want a sneak peek of halo infinite forge
i want to be able to place lava and water and glowing vats of green bubbling acid and set it to flow using fluid mechanics like on the halo 5 forge pc map Molten
give us a sneak peek 343 why u so secret? let us know how to place flowing glowing green toxic sludge and lava and plain ol waterfalls and stuff

Liquid physics is notional difficult. I’d be surprised if it features in this.
I expect we will get an update, but much closer to actual release. Right now, it is all about the flights. Once those are announced, I think we won’t hear anything until after the release date announcement regarding Forge, Campaign, or any other modes. Otherwise, anything they show is going to be completely overshadowed by people wanting the release date.
Just having more freedom on the editor could be great. Imagine if the community could make 1:1 scale remakes of maps. If you could make something that looks like Mercy from Halo 5. It would be so good to be able to colour and sculpt objects to that degree.
Seeing what people have made in Halo 5 is already crazy to me. You have to give it up the creators. The more freedom forge gives them the more insane the creations will be.
I’d hazard a guess they have a forge panel at RTX but with the direction RvB has gone perhaps not.
I know its a big inconvenience for the studio but another season of the sprint would be phenomenal.

i havent read that thread yet but i understand They have a point. It is important to look at the big picture. The times DO change, like it or not. I can see my parents had a hard time appreciating avicii and my grand parents had a hard tine appreciating motley crue. While i cant bring myself to play fortnite or epic games i dont even know about I COULD bring myself to accept being master chief infinite permanently for end of story and 343 manage that franchise. (halo 5 forge pc is amazing and im having a ton of fun on halo mcc pc cant wait to keep seeing customs browser updates new seasons all that) - IF IT MEANT some really smart people come up with a story GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO as the halo trilogy was back in the day (i cant believe im saying that…… back in mah day … how trite)
like we will always have halo infinite for forge and custom games.
I mean how bad would it be if we got a new sci fi First person shooter backed by microsoft with the same dedication that halo 2 got for xbox? That was sick! Man those were the days.
You see, The storyline and universe of the franchise which was at one point its defining feature eventually becomes storytelling bottleneck and its limiting factor.
Hear me out, i do NOT want to see halo go. I want halo 6 7 8 9 & 10. But i also want some New Good -Yoink- Campaigns that spawn a franchise as appealing and meaningful as the halo trilogy is for me.
And a most important part of the new franchise be a concept mirroring the forge editor even better than halo infinites will be. Quality Mapbuilding mode is very much integral to sci fi first person shooters. This is a defining feature that puts this hypothetical new franchise above all the rest. And its a new protagonist so you never heard of them before. that way keeps it fresh af and you get new player base

I sincerely dont mean to rush 343 for some official reveal. Taking their time means a better product.

I really want to see where they take scripting in Forge. It has so much potential.
Not the sort of thing they will highlight pre-release though.
I want Forge to be revealed like the forge world vidoc, but twice as mind blowing.

The possibilities are… Infinite.
Calling it now, but someday they’ll push Forge to the point you’ll make your own Custom Firefights and Campaigns. Play other users levels on a workshop.

With how massive of a transformation Halo 5’s Forge was compared to Halo 4’s that could actually happen. If 343i is capable of such a leap once they can likely do it again. Apparently they’ve got the same team doing Forge, or at least the same company assisting with its creation. We’re definitely going to be seeing another masterwork in regards to Forge. Fingers crossed for forgeable AI.

Its not really rushing. The game had an extra year. It is slated for holiday this year and is doing a beta. Forge needs to be at launch to help sustain a player base. I think its fair to expect see something by now. Doesn’t have to everything.
