Considering how you’ve treated players, combined with many other games coming out before May, I won’t wait until then for your game to get better.
-The Challenge system is boring and counterintuitive to gameplay (plus they don’t even track your Challenge progress 100% of the time)
-Progression is uninspired and unrewarding
-Overpriced items in the shop despite being told they would be lowered
-Subpar communication (even the Roadmap is delayed??? Really???)
-Flaunting artificial success despite mixed multiplayer reception: “With over 20 million Spartans joining us so far, we’re thrilled to announce that Halo Infinite is the biggest launch in Halo history”. This is solely because the multiplayer is free-to-play (poorly done F2P model at that) and the campaign is on gamepass, don’t act like this was well-earned… if the game is such a success, why not talk about your concurrent player base?
-Severe lack of content
The funniest part is I don’t even trust that the multiplayer will be better when Season 2 launches in May… You’ve already done so much to lose my trust that I have no faith for Season 2. I’m such a fan of Halo but I won’t support this abysmal F2P model any longer.
Please prove me wrong for my lack of faith in you and either give me a reason to stick around or come back in May. I WANT you to prove me wrong.

Personally I want to see 343 drop a decently large piece of content for free, as a good faith gesture to say “look, we’re not here solely to gouge your wallets, we also actually like Halo and want you to get to play it.”

If they had a good reason, they would communicate it.
They know, they have no reason to wait for may. They know nothing will get fixed soon. Nothing will be released soon. They hope they can tease us long enough to make a bit of money, thats it.
I see massive delays incoming for coop, forge, new maps and modes.

Exactly. I could care less about the store when most of the matches are hard to play because of network issues and mismatched host servers. If you can’t even play the game none of the cosmetics will matter

Both can be fixed at the same time, and I think there are quite a few topics about desync and other problems.

I’ve honestly been waiting for them to do something like that and I’m honestly surprised (and not really) that they haven’t done that. With MCC’s broken launch players got ODST for free if they played during the launch timeframe, so giving players a really cool bundle (as an example) doesn’t really seem like 343 would be out that much in all retrospect.
The fact they haven’t done much to show that they’re “sorry” to players is honestly just hurting them at this point.

Quite so, this is an excellent example of different teams for different issues.
The guys who set the prices and bundles (at the direction of managment), are not the same people who would be working on netcode.
It’s kind of sad that that lots of people don’t see that

i’m not having fun with it personally, it’s all rather boring. I just lost interest.
You can always just stop. Life will go on. I’m waiting for Forge and that could be closer to October.
What’s even keeping you with the game? Don’t let the progression system hook you. It’s a game! Play for fun.

Even in my support for the game, there’s basically nothing to really do for me anymore. Which is a pretty brutal state of affairs for a… Halo, game to be in. It very could be my anchor game, it could be…!

The reason is clear enough : 343 basically didn’t even make their own game.
Apparently the reason why they’re having so many problems even fixing problems and changing the shop is because they didn’t make it. It was contractors from outside which were hired to make it.
343 is a huge stinking mess. Hire actual permanent staff ffs.

Forge and dedicated customs servers are all I need to come back, because then we can make our own good maps and modes, and just never play the, what, 5? awful maps and modes. Can’t play the 3 BTB maps at all. The game is painfully stale after 400 matches and I’m gonna be at 800 by Season 2 if I keep playing only for events.
The core gameplay itself is reasonable, but in Custom Games, people will be making Bungie style maps and re-enabling grenade jumping and hammer physics too. They’ll make interesting maps and modes. They’ll have vehicles at base in BTB. Infinite will be a perfectly fun Halo game, as long as you never play the actual main game. Dedicated servers or P2P would at least guarantee I’m not playing custom Jenga on these awful Azure servers and the tower desyncing like crazy.
I’ll see how bad Forge is before I 100% quit, but I’ll be playing Destiny Witch Queen to pass the months until then. Don’t mess this up 343. You have one chance to redeem yourself.
