from launch of halo 5 i figured out how to use the plasma caster and its an amazing power weapon. it just saddens me no one uses it except for a select few. is it that you guys think its useless? or you guys just dont know how to use it? it honestly surprises me when teams setup for it. because no one ever contests me for it. ive gotten doubles triples. bank shots charge shots you name it. ive got some tips though for those trying to learn the weaopn. your first insticnt should never be to charge it up. the real strength in this weapon is bank shots. bank two of them on the floor in front of you and bam you got a kill. bank two around the corner to two guys in another hallway. bam double kill. the charge shot is very situational. you shoud alone stick someone with it IF THEY ARENT PAYING ATTETION. never charge shot someone thats shooting at you unless you got an escape route and you know your going to land it. area charge shots are good aswell shoot one on top of a door and the whole door becomes a death passage. i want to see people use it more often and i actaully want it to be treated as if it were rockets because its just as good if not better. and please to the people who do grab it dont waste the whole clip and getting nothing. shoot one see if you get a hit marker and try to have your team clean it up if not shoot another because rememeber it takes only two to kill not the whole clip. but honestly the best way to use this weapon is support. i can go rambo and clear out a whole team with it BUT its better to sit way far back and bank a couple for a teammate to clean up.
It’s one of the few I haven’t finished up the commendation for so I have started using it. It’s like most everything else, once you force yourself to start using it you really appreciate what you can do with it. Same with the boltshot, I never picked it up in arena until I started grinding for the commendation then I found out it is awesome.
It gets enough love IMO it’s in nearly every arena map. But I do like it. A bit to tough to get it to lock on but over all a decent weapon.

I would agree that it is a decent weapon but to say that it may be better than the rockets is just a massive exaggeration. I prefer many power weapons over it. It rarely ever two shots an enemy it normally 3-5 shots them if you want to get them from behind a corner because you cant always get the angle right and you cant always hit them exact either. Because of that its ammo is way to low and I find myself getting only 3-5 kills with it. Sometimes none. If 343i added more ammo then I think it would be a great weapon or made a none changed one shot if it was really close. Otherwise it really isn’t.
Plasma Caster is fine. No worries about it.

I dunno, you have to blindly spam it into enclosed spaces to get a kill with it. The projectile from the charged shot moves WAY too slow for this game.
To me, 343 still hasn’t made a launcher that can compete with the almighty Grenade Launcher. Why do they refuse to bring it back?
If you want to clear a base in warzone, then the tier 2 plasma caster (the one that shoots 2 at once) should be your weapon of choice. But yah I used to just charge it up and I hated it, but then I learned that the individual bolts are the most effective. Another tip for the plasma caster is if you’re playing ctf on truth and both teams are at their home bases with the flag. The two crevices on either side is where the flag holders hide. Just put a couple charged shots there and return the flag.
I’m still saving up on them (all tiers) to use in warzone once my laser commendation is completed. I currently possess 110-120 or so casters waiting to be used in bunches.
Imo I think it’s’ a decent enough power weapon, it does what it’s supposed to.
I get the feeling the Plasma Caster would have been great in Halo 3 or Reach, both the charge up and single shots are quite lethal. Problem is, the blast radius is small and players move too fast.

Yes! The grenade launcher was awesome! Ahhh memories…
After finishing all the weapon commendations, i was the 3rd hardest to finish behind the beam rifle and spartan laser. so, it is not that great in my option.

dude im nasty with this gun 2 shots for me and im getting the kill. i dont have to lodge so many into an area when i can just treat it lie two regular nades just bounce two to whoever you want to kill. the ammo is more than enough. i ussaully get 10 plus kills with it. nade shoting is even better. shoot one then swith to pistol for the headshot. trust me get nice with the bank shots and youll see how nasty this thing is

for me its easier than getting a kill with a pistol. o practice and trust me youll be getting multikills in no time

no no no no . never blindly spam. honestly bank the shots to where they are exactly. two shots can kill a whole team if the whole team is together. honestly the granade launcher doesnt even compare. and thats why i said never try to stick someone with it unless you know they arent ganna see you do it. the bank shot is the real power of this weapon
