Give the campaign puzzles!

To make Halo 5 more than just shooting, puzzles should be implimented. Metroid Prime does a good example of this. In Metroid Prime, as Samus progresses through the game she unlocks new armors, new weapons, and new abillities by finding them by completing a puzzle or exploration.
When you achieve one, a cutscene plays.

Halo 5 should use that same concept, they should let you unlock spartan abilities as you progress throughout the story, and when unlocked, you can switch between them in the pause menu. Once you unlock them all, anywhere in the campaign you should be able to pause and switch abilities. When you unlock one…A SHORT CUTSCENE WILL PLAY SHOWING CHIEF’S ARMOR UPGRADING.

The campaign should also be more than just shoot this, destory this, ect. They should have some puzzles. Last of Us saved it’s self from being a non stop shooting walking simulator by featuring puzzle segments where you had to get a ladder down, boost your partner up, or make a bridge with a ladder. Metroid Prime always has places in the single player where you need to use your abilities too progress.

Halo 5 should feature some puzzles in campaign that require you to use your abilities to solve them or progress. For example in the campaign there could be a ledge that is too far for you too reach so you use the clamber ability you reach it. Or there could be 3 switches that you need to hit too open a door, and to active the switches you must ground pound on each in a certain order. Once you solve a puzzle allowing you to progress, A JINGLE SHOULD PLAY.
I think it would be great to innovate the campaign, and make Halo more than just non stop shooting and killing. 343i, Please throw in a bit of exploration and puzzle solving.

That would be cool.

idk why they tinker with MP so much. Campaign is where the changes should be happening. It’s so much more low risk than tinkering with MP in terms of fan outrage with the same amount of possible positive upside.

That’d be, interesting. However other aspects need to be focused on instead.

Halo has never been about puzzles, it’s always been about killing. So if they do add any form of puzzle, it needs to not distract from the true purpose of Halo’s gameplay.

I’d rather have peaceful or horror-oriented sequences mixed in. And some exploration.

Double post.

ODST and Halo: CE (Flood levels) did that well

Nah. Halo’s always tried to be about tactics, and it’s always been about making the most of the sandbox. Puzzles–like the Half-Life 2 leverage puzzles, would be a welcome change from kill, press a button, kill. Roland even said it in Spartan Ops:
