This Community and all others fail.
I hope 343 or any other company, do not listen so much to these late communities, they request so much out of so little decent and logical contribution they give.
Here’s an example:
Halo 4: Limited Edition - was completely worth it you have all 3 map packs payed and you get a nice and shinny game case and some other cool extra stuff inside, oh and, they made a -Yoink- movie which was included in it.
People are simply demanding too much out of so little given.
There’s an infinite list of complaints, most of them illogical(as I already stated before) and quite annoying, which makes this game and many other game’s forums quite degrading.
Have you actually though in how much content this game has?
Have you actually though that a lot of developers do not do updates, considering the game finished after launch even if bugs are detected after launch?
How can it be possible that when I go on the Forums all the top Posts are either flaming, or negative BS.
I agree that there were “bad calls” from 343, but they made miracles out of a 7 year old console, and those “bad calls” are issues that eventually they would rectify as they are doing now.
I do believe that if half the community was sane, I would enter the forums and in 10 posts I’d see around 3 or so of Baseless contributions and 7 good advices for the future and actually some good critics and congratulations for a good work.
This is only my opinion.

I don’t even know what this thread is about, but I’m assuming it’s about you complaining about people complaining.
We’re not taking a mile. We have every right to complain. I like this game, but it could be so much better. What makes it worse is that most of the problems could have easily been fixed if they would actually listen to the community. Now we’re a couple months in and 343 is learning the hard way.
It’s a good game, but that’s not good enough when you’re competing with other triple A titles which don’t have rookie flaws like the ones in Halo 4.

Exactly. This is a triple A game. Well, supposedly anyway. 343 is a team of professionals. It’s about time they acted like it.

So let me get this straight, you think it is too much to demand having things that were in past Installments of the game work fine from day 1 and have them expanded instead of getting them downgraded?
Examples:
Lack of custom game options compared to past Halo games.
Fileshare WAS broken for a long period of time.
Downgrade of forge to the point forgers have a hard time making their creations.
Loadouts and AA’s wich was clearly shown in Reach were not welcomed by the community.
No I don’t think we demand much, all we wanted was the classic Halo play style and expansion on some features, not the downgrade of everything.
Yeah, Ive thought** about how much content this game has… It has less than Halo 2 and 3 and thats fine by you?
Almost every single developer patches their game post launch. Even single player games! They didnt do this say ten years ago, but think of a game that you put in and never ever had to update it. Do you care that a developer will finally finish the game 4-6 months later? Is that something we must get use to? Just because other developers do it then its okay?
The “bad calls” were critical components that were missing from the Halo formula. Now I can understand waiting 4 months for something like rocket race. Thats pretty much a mini game. But Doubles, Multiteam, FFA, fileshare!? That should be day one stuff. A gametype without loadouts, even if it is just one gametype? Should be day one.
Also this stupid argument about the Xbox being old. Well no duh. You should know what the 360 can handle and what it cant. My car can only go 120 MPH, so I will not try to got 130 MPH. Keep the graphics within the range of the 360. Dont sacrifice gameplay for graphics like they did with split screeners.
Now if I sold you a sandwich for full price and told you to come back 4-6 months for all the ingredients, would you be happy? Of course not.
People like you say we abuse 343 by wanting stuff, that we are entitled. Well, yes, we are entitled. A am a customer, therefore I am right. I paid full amount for a game that wasnt finished. So how am I abusing 343? Isnt it the other way around?
I gave 343 an inch and they took a mile. I put my faith and money into them and they completely ignored an entire segment of the population (myself included). You may of gotten everything you wished for. Good, I am happy for you, now shouldnt you wish other people got what they wished for? This game doesnt have to cater to certain people. Halo 4 can cater to the hardcore, the casual, and everything in between, but they simply didn’t.
So this is what I got, in a nutshell. This game has some good stuff therefore we shouldn’t make negative comments towards the game.
I can understand your point if this was a relatively new game.
Also I do understand that this is a new company we are dealing with, and they get some slack for that.
However, this is halo. No slack given.
I do see that there is a lot in the game but I could write you a program that does a bunch of calculations and tells you a bunch of numbers, doesn’t mean its fun.
The whole point here is that yes we have a bunch because it is a game, but this is halo, having stuff in a game does not make the unbalances and all the issues better.
I agree that comments are a little negative but for the most part comments are to inform what is wrong and how to fix it.

You’re right. I forgot that 343i gave us Halo 4 at their own expense, out of the goodness of their hearts.
It’s not like they promised to take Halo back to its roots.
It’s not like they made the campaign super linear and stripped it of all opportunities to explore.
It’s not like they dolled SpOps up as some extravagent co-op experience with a heavy narrative, only for me to find out it is actually a monotonous XBLGOLD-required snooze-fest with less replayability than the feature that it replaced.
It’s not like I paid 60 bucks for a wholly incomplete and shoddy game! Oh wait, I DID!
The only example you gave was the LE, which in truth was a fairly underwhelming package. Many of those owners were bummed when they realized their extra money only really got them a case, a ‘movie’ that is viewable for free online and a slight discount on the map packs (the first of which was unexpectedly given as a “free trial” to people). I am so glad I didn’t get the LE.

One thing is to make bad calls (Like deciding to add ordinance, and loadouts)
And another is to take what was standard on previous installments of the franchise and obliterate them, strip them down and downgrade them.
Here the rule of if it aint broken dont fix it really aplies.

Bungie asked how something could be bigger than Halo. If Halo 5 comes out like this, -Yoinking!- Big Rigs will be bigger than Halo. Destiny could come out right now and be a tabletop RPG using the concept art and wreck Halo.
Im ok with constructive criticism its the majority that over reacts to seeing a hornet in the majestic trailer and belive hornets are coming back to only be saddened by the truth that its not and blame 343 instead of themselves for beliving little things and going off like that like a child to santa claus. A free forge world mappack would be great.

Corrected…because we demanded it in the first place!
What’s so hard to understand about that? Had we not demanded or complained about anything, 343i would have left us even more alone than we are currently. Nothing would have changed, and Halo would forever be different from what it should be.
(NOTE: 343 screwed many people over with the Limited vs Standard Edition purchases, so please don’t say it was “worth it”)
