I was just disconnected in two warzone matches in a row, and my team was winning in both of those matches. Still, no req points rewarded, even though I would have recieved about 5000 req point for those matches. Even worse, all those req card that was used is now gone - which included for instance two archlights. This needs to be fixed! Either get your req cards used in those matches back (can be exploited, so shouldn’t be chosen), or recieve req points for the effort. Half an hour wasted. I love the game mechanics in Halo 5, but some annoyances that easily can be patches leave a lot of gamers frustrated!
No.
If you loose connection then you should not get rewarded REQ points, otherwise people would just quit out even more than they already do since they would still get awarded points.
wait…You think people should be entitled to something for disconnecting? If that’s the case a lot of people would that an can easily “disconnect” themselves by pulling out the Ethernet. This is on you and not 343’s issue. This is seriously the dumbest complaint I’ve heard.
LOL.
If you’re in a Fireteam & you get disconnected & then it puts you back in the same game it remembers all your REQ points/stats & you pick up where you left off. Other than that, they probably want you to buy REQ packs, so I doubt they will ever reward you. It’s probably hard for them to tell the difference between people getting disconnected & people just leaving the game anyways or pulling out their ethernet cord. Don’t you think if people knew you could leave a couple times a day & you’d get something back or rewarded, they would manipulate it somehow?
The best thing you can do is simply set your DNS Settings in your Xbox to Google’s Public DNS. Once I did that, I got disconnected way less. Simply go into Settings near the bottom of the Snap Center, then Network on the left, then Network Settings. Go to: Advanced Settings, write down your old Primary/Secondary DNS settings for safe keeping, then go on the bottom left & change your DNS settings. For Primary put: 8.8.8.8 then for Secondary put: 8.8.4.4 then back out & Save it. You might want to try to be party leader too as you might find more matches around your region of servers. Not to mention putting a Static IP on your Xbox & put it’s IP Address in the DMZ in your router & monitor who all is using your router at once. (turn on QoS in router to your Xbox One’s MAC Address)
I made a post about this, he’s right though. There needs to be a system that detects when you get disconnected through XBOX Live’s internal issues. I’m sure we’ve all gotten the message “your internet is fine but there is a problem on our end- XBLS” thusly cursing you to be disconnected during a match.
Ive lost all my XP cards from that, like it magically happens when I use the Warzone boosts. We should be redeemed boost cards when being disconnected at least. It’s not fair that our cards don’t even get used, just “oops sorry I guess you lucked out”, there has to be a better system than this. At least Titan fall got it right.
Of course I’m talking about diconnecting as in losing signal to the server - not if you quit the match. Quitting a match should give 0 req points obviously.

I mean boost cards in use, not be redeemed them for loosing a connection when they aren’t in use.

There is no way to tell the difference between a quit and a server disconnect.
- Check to see whether the issue is your home network, your ISP, or the hosting servers you are connecting to.
- Seek a solution on those ends.
Asking for help to mitigate unfortunate circumstances is the only reasonable recourse. If your house burns down, you shouldn’t ask for a new puppy or a laptop. as stated above, we have enough problems with people leaving games.
-Yoink-, it just happened again!!! We were leading by over 200 points with me as the star player, and the match was probably one minute away from being won!! Rage. That’s three time in an hour. No one disconnects on purpose if they are leading by 200+ points and your team have under 150 points to win. It’s as easy as that. As for just quitting (i.e. not unplugged the internet connecting, but selecting “quit match”) the game, it is really easy to code that.

The problem is probably on Microsoft’s side. My internet is stable, and I haven’t had this problem any other days playing Halo…until today. Maybe it has something to do with the updates rolling out?
xDigital17 posted some potential connection tweaks above. Have you tried that?

I’m going to try it out now.
EDIT: And now I got the message: “Your network is working as it should, but it is a problem with the Xbox-service.”
EDIT 2: Now I got the 6,2 GB Halo update. Anyone else?
If you ever get that Xbox Live message that just means Xbox Live is currently having issues. It happens at least twice a week, it’s not on your end.
