Give ODST another chance

This game really didn’t get the love and attention it deserved and when I ask people what they think about it. The only ones who didn’t like it where the ones who didn’t even play it.

To halo 3 fans its controls, weopons, and vehicles are all basically the same. (Vehicles are faster now that I think about it.

If you want your friends to get back into a good halo game that requires team work this is the one, and setting the campaign to legendary will make you REALLY have to work together lol

Last note, the firefight is what really brings the whole game together and you’ll find yourself having A LOT of fun. I strongly suggest giving it another shot if you have it, If not, it’s on the marketplace or about 8 bucks at GameStop

Most people here love it.

One of the best games in the Halo series!
Now that I think about it, all but 2 (Reach and Halo 4) where excellent.

I really enjoyed ODST because it was going away from Spartans and going into the lives of the last surviving squad of new monbasa, It was a great campaign but after I completed it I didnt feel the need to play it again, firefight was annoying after a few times playing it and after i claimed Vidmaster Endure achievement I only wanted to show off my Recon armor in Halo 3’s multiplayer so there wasn’t really any need for ODST anymore.

Im not saying it was a bad game, it was Great, it just needed some more features, maybe a forge mode for creating firefight maps, that would have been cool but there was no creativeness in that game, the only feature I can say i really enjoyed was that you could take your helmet off in firefight, thou I would enjoy another Campaign that isnt completely based around Spartans and more about the marines and ODST’s.

This.
ODST firefight is fun even on solo,I only wish it had a matchmaking system and more maps.
That and being able to buy a sergeant johnson code. I myself didn’t have an xbox nor an interest in Halo at the time it was released :frowning:

When I first purchased ODST I didn’t really appreciate until I purchased the OST.

I can’t even finish the campaign because of the wonky checkpoints. Everytime I come back to the game it always reloads the same mission no matter what. :frowning:

My friends and I just played 2 rounds of ODST, still real fun. The way firefight was meant to be played =)

ODST’s campaign has the most replay value of any Halo game IMO. Also, ODST was the last Halo game that had a sense of humor. Reach and H4 both took themselves way too seriously.

VISR Mode is in the game for a reason. Complaining its to dark in Halo 3: ODST is one of the most lame excuses I have ever heard for not playing it. VISR Mode. Press “X” if you cant see.

ODST needs to die. The campaign layout was horrible. If I missed something early, I would have to restart again to get it.

I still think that the silence footsteps of a silence soldier in a silence city with silenced weapons are the best combination ever.
The Rookie is my favorite character in the halo universe.

Best Halo campaign, hands down

The new mombasa street is a hub level. You likely need to find the next object to continue the came.

i agree i must replay the mission like 10 times for my first run though, story was really good top 3 in the halo series but the best. i think Reach has the best campaign, hands down

ODST… cant explain…

just…

The best use of Earth Setting in any Halo game by far.

I would love to see another ODST game or an anniversary when the time comes… Don’t think it will happen unfortunately.

Playing as a enhanced super soldier is fun and all but it sure was fun and easier to put yourself in the boots of Joe ODST

I found everything perfect, the story, the dialogue, the bits of humor, everything, except for this damn thing. Hub levels in general are a horrible idea, especially in Halo games.

I enjoyed ODST. I loved wandering around the Streets of Mombasa discovering Weapon Caches and audio files. My only gripe was the length, way too short.
