Removing one of the most unique and beloved weapons from the sandbox is having a detrimental effect on the trickshot community.
Most of us who were into using trick shots in game have already left because of the decision to remove this weapon pretty much entirely from BTB and BTIS.
There are three trickshot communities that have been effectively asked not to play halo anymore: Ninjas, Mongoose launching people, & trick jumpers.
For those of you inclined to stay on the ground more often does the removal of this weapon serve any benefit to your experience?
Give us 2 maps with the concussion rifle spawning at regular intervals, thats all I ask. Ragnorok and Complex would be the best places to add this weapon on.
Haven has one.
I like the weapon outside of mobility purposes, but I acknowledge rocket jumping with it. I prefer the weapon for its direct impact 3SK.
I would like to see more of that weapon on any map with vehicles.
> I would like to see more of that weapon on any map with vehicles.
Seconded. Of all the weapon commendations, the CR has the longest to go until Mastery for me. (not counting the stupid plasma pistol, which is a joke by most measures) . It’s odd… I feel the CR should be more readily available, especially in Fiesta.
Agreed 100%.
Concussion rifle is a much beloved weapon of mine, for all previously listed reasons, and it’s a shame that we don’t see more of it.

Thirded, but I feel with Plasma Pistols readily available at spawn, vehicular combat would be even more questionable than it currently is. But, that’s a topic for another time!
I would also love to see more of the Concussion Rifle! It seemed to be everywhere in Reach, and I can only think of two or three maps in Halo 4 that have it.
Wow… I had no clue that was an issue for more than a handful of people.
I had also thought that the trick jumping community did most of their work in custom games…

Eh, I wouldn’t describe it as an “issue” for me. I’ve played the game just fine without it, but I would love to see more of it!
The Ch as spawned on Exile since launch day and still does…over in the lower cave section behind the Banshee spawn rook. I’ve mastered it so I’ll leave it for you
Having one on Complex and Settler would be cool…they do come up often in OD. I liked using it…the 3 shot punch in the face…splash damage was good for two or more enemies close together for multi kills.
I would like to see more of this weapon as well. Especially since a lot of players seem to pass it up, which is something I just don’t understand.
I have been wondering how the trick jump community has been favoring in Halo 4. It is unfortunate that you guys feel alienated. Yes 343i, bring it back!

I didn’t realize it was a three shot direct kill. I was still trying to use the splash damage like you could in Halo Reach until someone ate me a couple times in Legendary slayer with it. Thought it had been buffed at first, then i realized that I had been using it incorrectly.

I know trick jumping is not easy but I have always been shocked that there are not any prominent jumpers that use their tricks to go for insane kills. The mongoose community and the ninja community however are naked without this tool.
And everyone outside our communities seems to either like it or not be bothered by it, so it should have some sort of presence.
The trick jumping community was killed off in Halo 4 by low ceilings in maps, but that is something that is for a different thread.
The concussion rifle is amazing. The rocket jumps are great (having them be even stronger would be AWESOME) and the benefits provided by getting direct hits are also great.
Give me more concussion rifle in MM, pleeease.
Having seen your work in Reach I am sad for you OP. Those vids were so entertaining, especially your Mongoose work with the Concussion Rifle. The Sticky Det just isn’t the same…
The Concussion Rifle is easily my favorite gun in Halo 4, and I would love get my hands on it’s Concussion Rifleness again…
Being able to swat away Warthogs like flies on a wall, being able to make gravity fall to it’s knees… Being able to send corpses flying in an unnatural velocity…!
I need my Concussion Rifle… NOW!
(It’s even neglected in PODs!)
I’m not really a fan of the concussion rifle. I prefer more of the UNSC weapons, seeing they kill faster than covie guns.
