To all those who are thinking, or are on the verge of selling/breaking their halo 4 disk out of pure multiplayer frustration i implore you to wait for the TU. By then we will have the SPOPS ending, the majestic map pack, and the new multiplayer features.
I myself am going to do this. If none of these features makes multiplayer any less boring than it now then it’ll be a sad goodbye, or at least until H5 comes out.
I shouldn’t have to wait for a TU to play a decent game. There are FAR better choices out there.
Also, why would you ever waste money on a Map Pack when they put custom maps into matchmaking all the time and you’ll never even get to play on the maps you pay real money for?

i’ve already got the war games map pack. Remember, i thought this was going to be a halo multiplayer experience when the game came out. not Call of Didact: Modern Halofare
I’m having a blast playing doubles and snipers, calling this game CoD is plain ignorant, sorry to say. Especially when the only playlists with cod like features are the infinity playlists.
The TU is make or break for me. If it doesn’t fix these glaring issues, Halo 4 will lose even more people.
The only reason I’m waiting for Halo 5 is because it will be on a next gen console. That’s about it. I don’t trust one word that comes out of 343i’s money-stuffed mouth.
name 1 better option than halo 4. BF3 is as unbalnced as the DMR. BLOPS 2 is the same lag nonsense with new weapons. AC3 is a clone of the rest. there no other better games.

That may or may not be the worst of these jokes that I’ve ever seen.
Needless to say, I found Halo 4 to finally be the game that I was looking for. While I enjoy core gameplay thoroughly, a game is not complete until it has the right feel to it. For me, Halo 3 seemed almost like a child’s game because you had these badass Spartans walking around (not running) spraying at each other as you walk forwards only to cross your fingers that you melee’d first. On top of this, there were so many other things that just seemed… not Spartan-y…
Halo 3 had the right style of gameplay, but it was dull, boring, and almost silly in terms of minor details. These guys are the most elite super-soldiers of the UNSC, they should start acting like it. When I saw sprint and assassinations being added in Halo: Reach I finally saw Halo reaching towards it’s potential. When I saw them polish these additions in Halo 4, I was even more excited.

All that above and I’d def include Borderlands 2 - I tried for first time and am addicted to this game now. Halo 4 is so — boring now.

And i agree reach was halo reaching some new grounds. It was a little awkward for me to get used to reach but i was on it a LOT more than this game. I respect your opinion fully but i still think this game is a real cod copy.

Fantastic thread, OP. For those who say Halo 4 is CoD, you are wrong. CoD is getting three kills with a one shot kill loadout weapon and calling in a machine to do the rest of the killing for you. Halo 4 is getting six or seven kills with a five or six shot kill loadout weapon and calling in a weapon that you actually have to USE. It’s getting there, and it is NOT Halo as we know it, but it’s NOT CoD yet. Anyways, I agree that we need to wait for the TU before being REALLY mad. I know it should have been good on launch day, but we should give them another chance. It’s Microsoft’s fault, not 343’s. I bet 343 wanted to keep Halo like in 3, but Microsoft made them modernize it. Plus, campaign was amazing and we get a TON of content in SpOps, even if it isn’t perfect it’s still good and free.

I wouldn’t say BETTER is the way to look at it. Just DIFFERENT. If all games played the same, why choose one instead of another?
For me, when I play another game like MW or Gears, it’s BECAUSE they are different. Not better, just different. I like CoD because it offers that “real world” environment which is a nice change of pace from Halo’s “fantasy” worlds.
Halo 4 is not perfect. But neither is any other game IMHO. If Halo 4 was rebalanced so it played more fairly (which is what I’m waiting for), I’d still play other games just to take a break from the Halo experience.

No because they don’t want to announce glitches that can be abused. So basically they don’t want us to abuse the lack of custom game settings, lag in SO, game balance, lack of Forge tools, etc…
