I’ve spent a lot of time ghosting these forums recently, reading arguments hating on 343, returning the game, giving up on the franchise and generally teddies being thrown out of prams in huge amounts. I’ve also seen some reasoned replies that seem to go over peoples heads.
I understand the principle that if you have bought a game, you should receive a working copy, and if you don’t (which has been the case) you have the right to complain and voice your concerns. Realise though that this is a case of 4 games being shipped on one disc (and its not as simple as copy and pasting them from previous versions).
343 are trying to communicate with the fanbase and keep them in the loop (yes the update has been delayed, but they have declared reasons). What I find ironic is that suddenly everyone seems to be a backseat game designer, with a keen knowledge of how to code a game, how long it takes and what it involves. Think of it on a personal level as well, the employees at 343 are people like you and me.
The point of this thread is to ask people to have some patience with 343 and the opportunity to fix the game, display some basic manners in terms of insulting 343 left right and centre, and to reign in your frustration and actually think before you post (post constructively instead)…
(Don’t start with the 343 defence force insults, I understand that selling games that don’t work isn’t fair on the consumer, that it is a common trend in the gaming industry, and that leads to frustration from customers).
