Why not? It’s not like it would be hard to do, just copy the exact same Team Flag that they used for Double EXP and then put it in and make it ranked.
I think it would be fun, and it can’t really hurt. If anything, it will make Halo 3 a little more popular again. I think I speak for a lot of competitive halo players, and the BTB/SB community when I say that Team Flag was our favorite Double EXP weekend and since there’s no ranked Objective or ranked big team, this would be perfect.
There’s no reason not to do it, and all the reason to do it.
