Hey 343, why wasn’t I given credit for this Warden Kill?

Sometimes I get a little peeved when I’m not given the credit or at least assist on boss kills, but I usually brush it off and move on. This kinda ticked me off. Did I miss something?
First, the game seems to track who killed the bosses really weirdly, I have hammered bosses only to die shortly before they are taken down, but then get the kill while I am respawning, so I have no clue how the game does it.
Second, Good game, you destroyed that other team

Thanks, it seems like I either destroy in Warzone or get destroyed, not too many close matches.

The points for the kill are awarded right after the assassination animation. Even if that were the case, what is the point of an assassination if it doesn’t kill?
that happned to me its your teammates shooting him before he dissapears lol i had the issue with a wraith

Basically. Same way someone can Yoink an assassination on a normal Spartan.

I would be “OK” with that (at least as “OK” as when someone yoinks my Spartan assassination), but I clearly went through the entire assassination animation and then the kill was awarded, but the kill was awarded to someone that did not deliver the final blow. Isn’t that against the whole point of how boss scoring works?

welcoem to my life. i have been sayign this since the beginning but apparently some people at 343 are siding with the minor few that think the person, who contributed nothing, should get the points n medal and kill for last shot when other people have worked harder for it. seriously, this is why i support implementing the gears of war point system. its way more fair. you the damage you do, is the points you get. the last few peopel shooting him all get the medal for boss kills, and the team points go to last team to shoot it. its the best ti gets withuout people doing this bs. you spend all the reqs to kill and some guy with a pistol gets al lthe reward for little effort. thats why i no longer help my team kill the bose. too much wasted time. when he gets to 2/3 health i will than come in, wait, and shoot when he is so close to death that if i fire a powerful weapon or a good headshot ill get the kill. its a no effort easy kill steal. and i will continue doing this til it gets fixed. im not wasting all that effort for no reward. only noobs say this is skill, just like they say its skill to camp out the enemy core base and wait for a vehicle to come out so you can destroy it. its cheap and unfair and it ruins the experience and you noobs no it so stop arguing this is skill. its makign it unattractive to want to kelp teammates if someoen can just run in an take the kill. i only need 1 more knight kill but i have killed the knights liek 5 times, but you know what happen? gives it to someone else who didn’t do the effort. so no i just wait til im in an area where the boss spawns for knights n ill wait for everyone else to put blood, sweat, n tears into killing him, and just troll jack the kill. because thats skill right?
you should get boss kills for killing the bossBTW OP thank you for posting a video of this. i have longed for it. too many people denied this stuff happens and said “oh you are just lying. if you assassinate than you will get the kill” nope

well i want to be in your games because it doesnt do it for me. i can do 99% and still get gypped out of the kill. and as you saw the video didnt give it to him, even though he did the assassination.

Exactly, I’m not going to sit here and argue over how the kill points are awarded since 343 said that it wont change. Fair enough, I’ll just hang out with my loadout weapons, taking pot shots, instead of wasting REQs. My issue here is that I performed the assassination, the entire assassination, but was not given the kill. I may be mistaken, but I thought that an assassination was considered the final blow.
