Give all leaders some sort of distruption bomb

In the current state of the game, certain leader powers can destroy an army in seconds. Some on the other hand, would have a hard time killing a one legged grunt. Obviously in the near future all leader powers will be brought up or down so that they are all pretty balanced. So why not give them some sort of leader power distruption bomb ability.

In halo wars everything has a counter so why shouldn’t offensive powers have one. Now I know you will say, “why don’t you just move scrub”, well depending on the power and circumstance moving won’t deter total catastrophe.

SPOILERS AHEAD.

In campaign we get to use an emp mac to disable certain units, why not give that to the unsc leaders and make something similar for the covenant. Now I’m not talking old school d bomb where you drop it on your 69 hawks that are attacking the last enemy base to protect them. Im thinking a once of thing that nulifies the ability as soon you cast it, as most powers have a a charge anyway.

What do you guys think, would something like this benefit the game or make things worse. Let me know your thoughts

A disruption bomb would be a great addition to the game. Maybe make it 30 seconds long instead of 1 minute.

If they don’t nerf the cloak ability then I agree with you

The problem is, the Covies have 2 leader powers that CAN NOT be dodged or the damage mitigated. I’m not really in favor of a DB but I really think the leader powers across the board should be tweaked.

While I do agree that some leader powers are overpowered (Atriox), I don’t think a disruption bomb would do anything. There isn’t enough time to react to most of the leader powers. I suppose you could use it preemptively in certain situations, but even that has limited uses. I think the key is make so the leader power can’t take out an entire army and then be ready to use again by the time the army comes back.

Most of these leader ability have a way for you to see it before it strikes. Otherwise if you know the person is going to have it, would it not make sense to split up your army and attack in waves or attack from different sides of the base?
