I see a whole ton of people gurning about how ‘OOOOH HALO 4 IS RUINED BLAH DE BLAH DE BLAH’
Imma keep my opinion to myself, but what I wana know is, were this amount of people so angry when Reach came out?
Err yeah. The Bungie forums were a swirling vortex of tantrums and hatred to put it lightly.
Believe me, I got on the Bungie forums actively at the time Reach came out and this has been worse.
Also, I defended Reach and explained why 343’s TU wouldn’t really fix anything, but only create new problems, few people listened and now Reach has lost plenty of its good Forge maps, got a bunch of bad ones to stay in, as well as Action Sack being removed, as well as Squad Slayer being removed, and a bunch of other terrible changes.
I thought 343 would learn from Reach and take some of the things they did right(Social/Ranked) and implement them immediately in Halo 4. All I learned was that I shouldn’t expect anything great from 343 because they’ll always mess something up even if they get something else right.
To clarify, I don’t hate 343, I just detest the stupid, short-sighted decisions they make.
aaahhh. i remember the Bungie Forums. good times those were. Yeah, there were a lot of angry people during reach. Though i agree with Assassin, the Reach forums were a lot more tame than this. It also seemed like complaints didn’t last this long into the games life cycle, almost coming on one year. The Flood was always fun, though.

Everyone migrated to these forums to complain, knowing that Bungie handed the reigns to 343. Trust me, the same amount of complaining has occurred for both games.
