Please have more colors for girls…hot pink…purple…yellows…
COD, GoW has lots. The Weapon skins for H5 were okay but clearly designed by guys.
We don’t want roses & skulls lol, rainbows or crazy patterns.
Give me a HOT pink solid color BoomCo Magnum. And I will die happy.
And enough with the bronze or gold metallic skins. Not the kind of aesthetic girls want.
How do we accesorize? Silver, Platinum and Diamonds. My gramma owns bronze challis, and gold earrings. Not modern.
So, …chrome me. I want a Chrome Magnum. Gleaming silver Chrome. Or a Diamond studded gun.
I hope this helps my dudes.
xox Thanks 343

I’m sure 343 will add more variety this time around! Hopefully the lack of REQ packs will help with quality control, so we don’t end up with 50 bland skins for each weapon and only a few that people actually want to use.
I’m down with more options, but don’t take away what we have. Just keep adding it. You don’t want to get rid of someone’s fave.
I’d totally rock a pastel colour scheme.
As someone who rocks black and grey most of the time? Yeah, why not? I’m not big into skins myself honestly, but I’m all for personalization. Especially in mp! What about a weapon skin editor? Choose your colours, gradients, mat/chrome, edit patterns, add your symbol, gamer-tag…
Imagine someone fragging you, stealing your weapon and than using it to get a killtacular with your own gamer-tag skin. I got a new medal idea right there!
I’m a guy and I actually got the pink weapons skins in GoW3 because it just looks so out of place, but I love it. Also, wouldn’t mind seeing the same in Halo. What if you could customize the color yourself in a new game? That would be cool. Also I like the gold plated weapons, so…
I’d like there to be skins and patterns that you can colour yourself. Let us have some more personality with our stuff
I’m not going to lie. I can’t tell if this post is facetious or not.
A thread titled “Girly Weapon Skins” and then list the most stereotypical “girly” colors.
It can be hard to discern nuance or sarcasm when you’re just reading text lol

“CUSTOM KILL!” “SHARING IS CARING”
I’ve got the perfect one. A pink skin, with a donut on both sides, with the writing:
“It’s not pink, it’s lightish red!” And it’s called:

Fabulous!
Why not just let us customize the primary and secondary color of our weapon’s skin like we do with our armor?

Oh, the reason why not is simple: streamline customer’s options and increase MT value!
. . .
What? Too honest?
I’m all for customizable skins, as long as they look at least somewhat feasible. Pink is fine. Pizza ARs are not. 343 went overboard in Halo 5, so I’m kinda hesitant to jump on the idea
I feel like im going to be alone on this one… but not a fan of the level of variety of weapon skins.
From a canon perspective it makes no sense.
From an aesthetic perspective, I think the most i’d advocate for with respect to weapons and looks are variants and secondary colors.
So take for example, an assault rifle that has a stripe along in the direction of the barrel or over across the ammo display , and you can customize that stripe color. Id be down for that.
But the whole weapon different color thing not a fan of at all. Completely takes away from the theme of halo in my opinion.
So as for the hot pink, I dont mind an assault rifle with a hot pink stripe, or any unsc weapon with that kind of level of customization as described.
The other option that I advocated for was the weapon variants…
Basically Oni weapons are a much darker grey… practically black in contrast to the tradisional grey of unsc weapons
Sanghelios weapons (yea i forgot what they were called) are a maroon in contrast to covanant purple.
Maybe custamization could be some of those symbols on the weapons can have their color changed.
Banshied are a silver with red decals. Maybe those red decals could be custamized to have different color decals.
This is a strech imo but id also be content with emblem being displayed on the weapons… somewhere where you can see them while holding preferably.
But no, no fully pink assault rifle and no silly unfitting skins… except perhaps in forge and custom games… sure…
As someone who felt that coloring weapons in the first place was not a great idea, I know that people tend to care about colors rather than models for some reason. Don’t feel offended, I like cars in general, but prefer them black/green/silver, so I have the curse too.
For weapons though, I have a different theory.
Why not have an interchangeable custom weapon attachment system? Where you can change the base, barrel, scope, and stock models.
Example: AR: Base model: 2001 MA5B, 2007 MA5C, 2010 MA37, 2011 MA5B, 2012 MA5D, 2015 MA5D, and 2020 MA50(or whatever it’s called)
Barrel model: default, etc etc etc
Scope(in this case ammo counter): Digital, Militaristic, etc etc etc
Stock model: default, etc etc etc
And allowing for SLIGHT amounts of color customization. Example: 2010 MA37 model yellow stripe that runs down from the ammo counter rail to the shell dispelling spaces can have yellow color changed.
What do you think?

I’d prefer a more limited system than that if I’m being honest. Instead just allowing you to reskin your weapons to be other variants that have appeared in canon. Such as the MA5B, and MA37, I think you could get away with using the weapon from the cover of Ghosts of Onyx as an AR skin too. So long as these weapon variations are cosmetic only, it should be fine for customization purposes. But I don’t think it’s too hard to imagine a Spartan painting their gun the way they paint and modify their armor, actually we see just that with Kelly’s shotgun, and Linda’s sniper. So long as it’s a multiplayer-only feature since we know Master Chief likes to keep his armor and weapons stock.

lol i think you said what i said but better and slightly improved.
What Fos said I agree with thou.
As much as I love the idea of being able to build your own weapon entirely I cant help but think it wouldnt belong in this iteration of halo where the previous halo had complaints about a diluted sandbox.
In what i consider an ideal best shooter game where you are a scavanger this idea might work alot better. Maybe it could work out in custom games or non-arena game modes?
I think it would work especiallly well in a game where there were insurrectionists/rebels.
Who knows … maybe reach has quite a few of those ? maybe…

Maybe they could make a firefight mode that has you go in operations against insurrectionists/AI enemies in general? Where you work as a squad but can customize your weapon with attachments and other additions that you find along the way after choosing your weapon. In this case, balance would not be an issue, because you are only fighting against AI’s. This would give a ton of variety into the game, allowing for people with noob level friends to chill and simply have a good time. Maybe the operations could include different goals such as: Defuse the bomb, Kill the designated target, escort the VIP, Hold the line for the escaping dropships, Escape with the VIP, Destroy the ship, etc etc etc. These could be played at random, forcing players to adapt. This could even include Covenant/Promethean themed missions to spice things up! Outside of this mode in normal multiplayer, you could simply choose a weapon model. This would kinda be like in the firefight mode where you pick a weapon and weapon model, except you can only choose model options, and then having all players start with Magnum/Assault Rifle (their skins included of course) and scavenge along the way! Making a firefight mode that is more casual, while still keeping the gritty multiplayer that requires skill for more hard core players. And then they could have a more classic firefight that simply has you hold against enemies until you die a certain number of times, or you survive all the rounds(if a number was given).
