I have a question about gifting REQ packs. I am a member of the PMS Clan, and gifting packs seems to be a perfect reward & incentive for our Halo division. I know there was one around of gift-able REQ packs. Is it possible to purchase REQ packs that we could distribute as prizes or gifts? Or potentially a way for us to obtain codes to distribute?

If you purchase gold pack (with IRL funds) you can gift them to a specific player.
How does it work?So you’d like to gift a Gold Pack to a friend? Awesome! 343’s Online Experience Team Program Manager Jon Hathaway passed along some useful info about this new feature along with some helpful screenshots and captures from his development kit:. .
1. Go to the REQ Store and find the REQ Pack you would like to buy and gift. (Make sure it’s “GIFTABLE” – note that this currently only applies to Gold Packs). .
2. In this example, if you’re buying a single Gold Pack, you’ll select the purchase option “GIFT FOR $2.99.”.
3. Pick the person you’d like to send it to (from your Friend’s List, Company, or Recent Players)..
4. Confirm the details of your gift – make sure it’s setup to go to the right person. Note that the recipient will receive an automated Xbox Live message from you. If it looks correct, select “Confirm.”.5. The Gold Pack will be gifted to the recipient and you’ll receive a confirmation that your gift has been sent. You’ll also have an option to send a personalized message to the recipient as a follow-up.

Well, yes. The system of gifting allows one to purchase a Gold pack with real money, and then choose whether to gift it. This news update about gifting shows how it can be done for both Gold pack bundles and single Gold packs.
For you to gift Gold packs as prizes, all you would need to do is buy the pack(s) you want to gift, then select who you want to give them to (they’ll need to be on your friend’s list).
