So my little brother got Halo 5 and a his own Xbox. “Obviously since 343 didn’t put split screen for a stupid excuse.” He has a gift pack that he can’t send to anyone, cause if won’t let him, and he can’t open it. So, what does he do???

What does split screen have to do with your post exactly? And why can’t he send the pack to anyone? Your post makes jack -Yoink- for sense.
He can only send it to people on his friend’s list. It’s possible that if you’re on the same internet he can’t send it to you, if that’s the issue.

It actually has to be someone on your friends list. Tried it before and I had to add them to my list to send it.

Oh, thanks. I don’t see why that has to be a requirement. If I feel like balling out to a complete stranger, I should be able to ball out to a complete stranger. Req points need to be spent. Gold packs need to be given. It’s not about what you heard. It’s what you’re hearing.

It isn’t, I sent mine to a random player. As long as the both players are able to send/receive messages (some people turn this feature off or have it turned off for them) it should be able to be sent. I believe there is also an SR limit.

Your brother must first reach SR 5. Then he will be able to gift that Gold Pack to a Halo player on his friend’s list (he can even make a temporary friend just so he can gift the pack), Spartan Co. list, or Recent Players list. But he must first reach SR 5.

Just ignore the pack. Why it is an issue? I still have my “giftable” gold pack and it doesn’t effect anything what so ever.

This is correct. He needs to play a few games first!

I did the same thing. I accidentally splattered a random teammate that had a splazer and I felt bad so I gave it to him.
