I really dislike the fact that they didn’t like the idea of the univeral Halo matchmaking in Master Chief Collection. THAT was the most innovative thing the series has seen in a while!

They loved the idea, the problem was that it crashed and burned for an unacceptably long time, and in hindsight, they realize it would have been better given the resources they had to simply release each game separately. But hindsight is 20/20
Gave me chills when she owned the truth, and took the hit for MCC.

Admitting mistakes doesn’t change the past. They should have stopped process of Halo 5 and fixed the games problems within a month, but instead they have let it go on for 7 months.

Are you kidding? This again?
You wanted the entirely separate Halo 5 team to stop the game they’ve been working on for years and start “helping” the external studios who messed up MCC? You do realize that’s not how game development works, right? When Assassin’s Creed Unity was broken at launch, they couldn’t have fixed it quicker by bringing over a bunch of developers from EA. It’s not an issue of manpower and throwing random designers and programmers into a new game would have only caused more delay and screwed things up further. And Spartan Strike, the product coming from one the studios associated w/ the development of MCC, was delayed to fix the problems.
Not to mention that delaying Halo 5 would have been devastating for the Xbox One and Halo franchise this holiday, but none of that matters, right?

She has no authority over when MS decides to ship their games, and no authority over the external studios who developed MCC. She’s effectively a figure head where MCC is concerned–studio head, yes. Responsible for MCC? Is she a network engineer? A programmer? A marketing/publishing executive at MS? No? Then she’s not responsible for the game. Attacking her is like attacking the English Queen when parliament is faffing about for all the good it’ll get you.
Also you play too many videogames. You can’t just divert worker units to a project and expect twice the results in half the time; diverting the people who had been hard at work on Halo 5 for years, to work on code that isn’t theirs, on a game they are unfamiliar with, will only slow Halo 5’s progress and get you nowhere on MCC, resulting in two broken games instead of 1. You don’t put Halo 5 mission designers, concept artists, audio artists, programmers and graphics engineers on MCC Networking and expect results. But you subscribe to that BDobbins “SaveMCCfirst” nonsense don’t you?

Of course it is an issue of manpower. Why do you think it takes several hundred programmers to create an AAA experience? MCC is programmed within, probably hundred of millions of lines with code, try to even imagine that.
Have you even ever coded before? I am studying computer engineering and I still burning myself on a few hundred lines of code.
Engineers were actually brought from Microsoft to help when the catastrophe called MCC was released, the problem was, they didn’t bring enough.

No, she just is in control of 343, which is controlled by MS. aND Microsoft were the ones who outsource MCC to multiple devs and rushed it.
