Ghost of Meridian new kind of Infection?

This is all speculation just by its title:

So almost about everyone in the community wants infection. However, about none of the titles gives out a big clue if it is coming besides Memories of Reach…But what if its coming on in Ghost of Meridian? I mean, there is one question to ask why there is such a title for the March update.

1: Why is it called ‘Ghost’ of Meridian?

It seems either its just a fancy name or its bringing in something. Because as hoping to know, Hammer storm was about bringing in the Gravity Hammer but we didnt expect much for the CE Pistol. So, what if ‘Ghost’ of Meridian was there to throw us off about something else? What if its just a different kind of infection. It has the same gameplay… but just different aspects? Like in Halo 4, we didnt infection… but we got something with about the same play-style but just different aspects called ‘Flood’. Maybe ‘Ghost’ in Ghost of Meridian is about paranormal survival (This doesnt 100% mean floating ghost or being possessed crap). It kinda makes sense and kinda doesn’t since infection could be coming out in “Memories of Reach” and so that would make more sense. But this is just a fun factor to think about…

Or it could be that ghosts and zombies are both dead.

feel like ive seen this post before

Well… It just makes sense enough to me.

New Gamemode: “Gosts. Kills the enemy Gosts to win!”

Well lets see here if you played campaign you would have seen that meridian was a planet that was both glassed and it was basically whipped again when the guardian left it so there is a lot of death on the planet leaving it mostly abandoned as in its a ghost town type planet

“Ghosts” could mean that you walk around the map as a ghost. Looking for a dead body to take over (respawn in)

I think it’s “Ghosts” because the new warzone map is on a different planet with facility’s (like the garages) which are abandoned. “Ghosts” because abandoned. Or it could be that they are making new Ghost vehicle variants who knows.

This is going to bother me to no end. It’s ghosts not cost with a G.

I think that particular area of Meridian that Osiris was in got messed up by the Guardian, but I think the rest of the planet would be fine.

Be cool to be running around the Meridian Station after the Guardian came out, with a Rampancy-consumed Sloan speaking garbage and causing systems to go nuts.

its probably the same infection…i hope…flood was awful

we should have gotten infection already but thats another story…

Isn’t Gov. Sloan the closest to a “ghost” that we have in Meridian? He is some sort of immaterial specter being. All AI constructs are. So, maybe, this Ghosts of Meridian stuff has something to do with AI’s. I can’t think of what it could be, though. Maybe OP is in the right track with infection being different in Halo 5. You see, probably the Flood won’t ever be added to Halo 5 because it would require 343 to update Halo’s ESRB rating from T to M, due to gore. So, instead of flood, the antagonist in Halo 5’s infection could be something else. Maybe Prometheans – they’re some sort of ghosts as well, since they used to be humans that were exposed to the composer.

But it got glassed before that and the place was basically unlivable for years the oceans were gone and the atmosphere was barely breathable, the people in meridian station were the only thing that was alive there plus it was an outer colony so its not heavily populated the guardian and Promethean showing up killed the already small population

Now I know. That is half the battle.

Didn’t know they were the only settlement.

There was like 5 of them and I mistakenly said it was a planet when its only a moon and about 1/2 the size of earth at 3,000km which again supports the whole why they had very little people on it

Legendary dead spartans for Meridian…I’m guessing new spartan armor…Hopefully a ghastly flaming skull lol…bring back flaming helmets 343i…or armor extras I guess if it’s not a bad idea…:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Maybe this might be a too outts there theory. But the titles always bring something in the update.

  • Battle of Shadow and Light - Shinobi armor - Cartographers Gift - Forge - Infinity’s armory - Halo 2 Br - Hammer Storm - Gravity HammerSo I just got this little thought the ‘Ghost’ in Ghost of Meridian is just a new type of infection. But I highly doubt it is just a fancy name.

A new twist would be fun.
