So I was playing Shotty Snipers on Boulevard earlier, and I got caught up in a 1-on-1 skirmish with an enemy player. While I was occupied, another enemy player snuck up behind me and smacked me on the back.
However…their melee attack didn’t register, and as a result, they didn’t kill me. It did startle me, though. They soon got shot to bits with my shotgun afterwards.
For once, I felt bad for an opposing player on the other team. They missed out on a beat down / assassination thanks to the unfortunate timing of a particularly annoying bug.
This problem needs to be resolved soon, for the ghost melee still roams the matchmaking realm…I could be its next victim…
Oh, yeah… You could be xD It happened to me on a few games yesterday… When I really needed that melee to hit :'l It should definitely be resolved soon.
I’ve only experienced it a couple of times, and not for a few months. It sure is annoying, but I think it’s just latency, so there’s not much that can be done.
I’ve had this issue a few times where I’ve gone to assassinate a player only to get shot by the same guy I just walloped and sent flying. I expect a melee hit to the back to kill, not knock the Spartan a few feet for them to turn around and kill me, I have even had the issue of the hit not counting at all and not taking the shields down etc so whilst I’m readying my gun they just start shooting.

That’s what I was thinking. I had this guy standing still I went to splatter him multiple times and he wouldn’t die at all. He had multiple chances to board me but didn’t. I was on focused.
