Here are the 3 games I played vs hug monsters. We picked the maps/combos due requests from other high level players. We went 3-0. BB2010 went 2-2. Macro cutter went 1-9. Tensa went 3-2. I picked the maps/combos that these previous players had trouble beating his brute on. He said my UNSC was the best hes played against so far and he was suprised at how quickly I adapted to his unique play style.

Anders vs Brute on Chasms- I was the only person to beat his strat on this map, ken used to do the same thing and i played him alot.

He likes to go air alot. Going tech 2 units and turrets is always better then rushing to a direct counter. Direct Counters dont work well vs COV. The only direct counter Ill use is a wolverine late game, but ill never rush to it. Also always having flamers upgraded and ready is inportant.
He defintely played good, hes not lacking skill just experience. Hopes he gets his own xbox soon…
Foreword
I watched all those games. I MarcoStyle NL, bb2010 and Tensa vZangetsu all failed in the first game on Chasms. I MarcoStyle NL could not adapt to beat that in 10 games. bb2010 needed 2 games to win 3rd and 4th. Tensa vZangetsu played 5 times losing games 1, 3 and 4 and winning games 2 and 5.
bb2010 and Tensa vZangetsu played only those games on Chasms (not other maps). I MarcoStyle NL keeps beating BigHugmonster on maps like Blood River easily, but on Chasms he keeps losing.
bb2010 and GearsOW HeAd prefer barracks 1st build. Tensa vZangetsu and I MarcoStyle NL prefer going barracks later for better economy and more hogs.
GearsOW HeAd aka Wild Arms FX
GearsOW HeAd played solidly and he deserved the wins. He was so solid on those games that BigHugmonster complained that cryo bomb is OP and was wondering where all those units come from. He felt that GearsOW HeAd was the best opponent he faced. O.o
bb2010
To be fair to bb2010, I feel he had a good position in game 1. He made an mistake and wasted his money to hornets and wingmen instead of wolverines (facing double banshees + brutes). In the second game he stopped the first attack, but then felt too good about himself and managed to lose. Brute can rebuild his army pretty fast on that map with supply elevator.
On third game he adapted his play, gave no chance and won easily. He told he found the weakness in that Brute Chieftain build and utilized that. The fourth was just VERY BAD playing from my friend and bb2010 won easily once again.
Tensa vZangetsu
These games were very similar what the games were against I MarcoStyle NL. The games were pretty tight, but BigHugmonster was a bit better. Tensa adapted his style after first loss and won the second game. He build more turrets to his base instead of units. That did not help him in games 3 and 4. I did not follow how the game 5 went. All I know my friend tried some locusts.

Yeah thats what i mean about tech 2 units for defense. Air is good to help defend and force them to build vamps, but as a mainline unit they are bad. Like the game we played on chasms, i built air but once i defended my hook and felt secure i switched to tanks then 1 or 2 wolves.
This is very interesting. Good job Wild Arms. 3-0 is pretty good considering the players this guy has beaten…
I like how each game was analyzed by sadstone and how he explains what went wrong/good in each. It gives players a better understanding of UNSC vs Brute overall (considering all the different playstyles that were presented). Good experimenting. Stuff like this should happen more often.

True. bb2010 smashed me and my friend 10-0 about 2 months ago on varying maps. Neither of us had any changes in any game.
Nowadays my friend is a bit better, but not so much. Still he keeps losing matches against high level players on other maps (for example against UNSC on Blood River/Blood Gulch etc).

You and me both… I’m starting to get too complacent and simply just build gauss and gremlins with a tad of air in random 3s… I’m getting worse because of it.
Need to play more 1s to sharpen my skills again.
As far as those games - they look awesome. I wish I was more competitive and did customs. However, I just don’t have the time to dedicate and learn how to be a better player these days.
Work and school mean less Wars time.

He def deos have a unique play. I had the benefit of reading up on him before we played. He played alot like Ken.

I recieved multiple requests asking me to play his brute so I did. I also was told by multiple people to make into a thread. I asked his permission before I posted the links. Some people like to discuss the game they play, thus the reason for this site. Plus everyone enjoys my threads (besides a couple of haters like you) and find the information helpful. Your the only person who has a problem…
I just dont understand why you are so mad? How many times have I gone on to LF and posted on 1 of you threads? None. So I ask again why are you so obsessed with me? Game links have never been very helpful to me as I don’t get the way the info is displayed. Mostly because I don’t care to learn… Too much other stuff to do. This forum is purely entertainment and hopes that 343 won’t kill the game.
But it is nice that we can still view stats. Good games though. Chasms looks like a pain against what he built.
