What the patch did for me:
searching still takes way too long (5+ minutes)- searching just shows you some more trustworthy messages like “searching for more players” or “connecting to session” and takes as long as after the previous update- teams are still mixed up and uneven (wanna play 5vs5? nah here you go with 4vs7 LOL, no this is not a joke)- lost connection after a couple of minutes of playing- lost connection after game has finished (“game unfinished”)- lost connection after a couple of minutes of playing- lost connection after a couple of minutes of playing- lost connection after a couple of minutes of playing
Pretty much the same thing here. I absolutely love the Halo universe and everything but this game is really trying my patience. I am gonna stick with it in hopes of it getting fixed soon, but at this rate I don’t know if I will ever trust a launch title again…
Well after a morning trying but failing to get into a single game, I’ve played less than half a dozen since launch, I’ve been onto Xbox support and received a no questions refund. I was expecting to have an argument on my hands, but they didn’t even question it.
I don’t think Im the first.
I’ll probably rebuy it once it’s working properly, but I wanted to send the message that launching games in this state is unacceptable.

This says it all. Finding more games doesn’t mean the game is better. Just means we are all trolled harder by thinking its better and then the game freezing or some other glitch ruining the experience.

It’s one of the most broken games I have ever purchased. Let people complain.

It honestly feels like they (343) just dressed up the search screen to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, but in actuality its the same issue. Before, you had no indication if you had ANY matched players or games found and now they have all these “indicators”; players found, connecting game, etc but then it still fails to start the game. The end result is the same.
It’s like they want to give the illusion you have a game to buy more time to figure out the problem.

Apart from a fair few failed to connect to host and some crashes, i’m finding games pretty easily now. Still not as quick as you’d expect and a lot of games with uneven teams but… i’m happy with what i’m playing
