Getting what you paid for

Now I would like to start by saying that I understand creating an AAA game and making it available to the gaming public is a massive effort and requires countless hours of constant work from conception of the game all the way through post-release of the game. And I also would like to thank 343i for making such a fun game (in my opinion).

However, I, as well as a lot of others, have had a lot of issues with online gameplay recently. My best guess (as I’m certainly no expert or technician) is that the very high holiday traffic in the servers is too much for the servers to handle efficiently.
I have nigh on perfect internet connection through fiber cable. My ping is incredible, my up and down is through the roof, and I have zero package loss. Hard resets are not the issue.
Games start perfectly, I find plenty of matches. But half way through I am randomly kicked back to the “warzone playlist” or “arena playlist” screen with no lag apparent beforehand.

Again, I understand that this must be a difficult issue to resolve. But, that “however” must return on this point. I’d like to say that I completely understand delivering what has been paid for, as I have my own business and I MUST professionally deliver the products that my customers pay for.
So even though I understand the stresses of servicing a lot of people, which 343i would definitely know better than myself, I still can’t help but feel that I, amongst others, am not getting the entire service that we paid for with these issues.
I have also had this same issue with Star Wars Battlefront after a week of perfect connections and gameplay, so again the high traffic on the servers is apparent. (all these issues are correlating with the Christmas period)

I consider myself a patient person, and I do understand how difficult servicing such a massive global audience must be, so I’m as always happy to wait for the issue to be resolved. But it is disappointing that such an issue seemingly hadn’t been fully prepared for, and thus creating the situation that a customer isn’t fully getting what they paid for.

That’s my 2 cents on the recent troubles.
This isn’t straightforward griping, more along the lines of a patient and loyal customer feeling frustrated about current troubles.

Still, thank you 343i for such a fun game.
