I was just watching some gameplay of the sniper on Haven and the individual using it had a hard time getting even a body shot. Now it could be that this person just had terrible aim or the sniper will take some time to get used to. I have heard that the sniper is way easier to use from sources so then I rethink my hypothesis. Maybe it is so easy to use that people used to the snipers in previous Halos are over correcting making it seem that they dont know how to aim while in reality they do. Now I am a big fan of sniper and the learning curve that comes with it if you or anyone else has an opinion about this topic please post below.
Maybe he’s just terrible, I heard that bloom was reduced. In Reach the sniper was more forgiving to noobs.
Give it a week or two and after things settle in people will knocking heads left and right.
They were MLG players so I believe it just takes getting used to.
I saw a gameplay video as well. He wasn’t just bad with the sniper. I don’t think he could hit the broad side of a covenant super carrier… with a shotgun at point blank range.

MLG or not, they didn’t seem very good. In most the MLG videos I saw they were making noobish mistakes, running straight into grenades, falling, etc.

I agree and giving people like this the title of MLG is a disgrace.
I agree with you alot of these MLG players are somewhat hadicapped by only playing one playlist with specific settings, so when they go into a normal Halo sandbox enviroment they tend to make more mistakes.
The player you watched could have just not been the sniper type. I find each Halo game has a new learning curve with pretty much every weapon.

Don’t give MLG players too much leeway, or my nephews could be MLGs at these standards. Don’t get me wrong, most of the MLGs are good, just not all of them.

A learning curve that takes about one game to get used to. It’s not like they’re all completely new weapons. For example, my transition from Halo 3 to reach was flawless, I didn’t do any worse, probably did even better, hell the first game I played on reach (beta at that time) it was like I had been playing it for years.

The gameplay was from Best Man who has some crazy Halo 3 sniper montages!

There is no bloom on any halo sniper.

Oh? Ha ha who knows then. Maybe he needed to adjust his sensitivity.

I suppose Halo reach never happened.
I didnt think of that!

Maybe the ridiculously cluttered reticle in the 2x scope threw him off?
The sniper in Reach has working bloom on it if you reload then double tap y and shoot as fast as possible, but not normally.
There are some aspects that make us not able to judge the player nor the Sniper Rifle.
-
which might be the major cause, is that they’re playing on flat screen TVs while they usually would play on smaller TVs because that’s better for reacting to situations faster and they’re not used to aiming on a larger TV.

I forgot who, but it was said that the Sniper in Halo 4 was the hardest sniper to use to date, except for CE.
now watch this : Halo 4 Sniper gameplay
I think this proves my statement. : His Halo 3 tage

I’m not a huge fan of his gameplay, I’ve seen better montages from non MLGs.
