Its actually a bug not a reward, its probably going to be fixed within a week

Its because each weapon has its own icon to appear on the killfeed the infected swords icon is the biohazard symbol so it makes perfect sense that regardless of who is using it that the killfeed still shows the same icon

Yeah, it’s great. Really funny glitch/easter egg type thing.
i think it should stay, if it is a glitch. Its not really overpowered or game breaking because if you aren’t careful then you could easily become infected if you try to duel 2 or more infected. Even one could probably take you down.
Couldn’t you pick up zombie swords in Halo 3? I do remember meleeing zombies for the lulz but I can’t remember if it was with the sword or not, pretty sure it was.
Bug or not I think this should stay. The requirements are pretty specific and it’s a pretty neat reward that doesn’t terribly impact the balance.

I totally agree, they should make a new medal for this, it’s just so rare to “infect” the infected with their own energy sword lol
I’ve done it too. LOL they are probably going to patch it up.
