I have used the dreamcatcher with the bear claw to make a female emblem since Halo 3. I think in a update at least they should give us back the old emblems. Anyone got ideas on how to get this done?
On 343 giving back the old emblems? I doubt they will.
Besides, there are MUCH more important matters that need to be addressed.

They should have at least kept the numbers and playing card suit symbols - they’re the ones I miss the most: Why were some ‘classic’ emblems left out?
It’s really a minute detail so not at all top-priority, but sure, why not give us more options? After all, people get attached to their personalisations. And while we’re on the subject of emblems, why make them rank-dependent in the first place? Where the armor is a visible part of the game and so it makes sense that, if they have a ranking system, the “stranger” armors only unlock once you gain higher ranks, the emblems are only used for a little personal touch and are in reality only visible in the menus to identify players. (So, this just makes that identification more difficult, and takes away personality and fun from people who don’t get to play so much.)
It’s like if your Service Tag only had a few letters available at first and then you could unlock more letters and numbers as you rank up. And the service tag is actually a more visible part of the game than the emblems…
Some of them were trademarks of Bungie, so they couldn’t use those ones. But making emblems unlockable was quite a bit unnecessary. And with the ones that are Specialization specific, they are too abstract to even make anything out of them. Part of my favorite things about the emblem was to make interesting designs out of them and most of the new ones were very restrictive.
I wish they were all just unlocked from the start, I can’t make some emblems, because I didn’t spend 400 dollers on this game.
I used the subnova from halo 2 to ODST and it was gone in reach. Now I use a spartan symbol. I wish I had my old emblem back.

I definitely would like them all back. Yes, this is trivial when compared to some other gamer wants/needs with Halo 4.
Still, it’s these trivial things that didn’t need to go in the first place. They were already coded into the game (since we’ve been told 343 used the Reach code). Of course we can’t use more than one at a time, but it’s more about having the OPTION to use whichever ones we want.
Such a simple thing can go a lot further to improving morale of Halo gamers.
