I’ve been getting connection issues on a regular basis in Halo 5, it seems that every other match I play in Halo 5 causes me to lose connection. It’s really frustrating at times when I get pulled from a match due to poor connection, or losing connection to the dedicated server before the match starts. In any other game my connection is fine, but it seems to be exclusively Halo 5, and it has only begun happening within the month.
Does anyone have any solutions?
Try clearing out your game and network cache on your Xbox One by performing a cold reset and by resetting Alternate MAC Address in system network settings on your Xbox.
Same…losing games and rank just because lag out…i have best internet possible in my area and direct connected and have tried resetting xbox and everything but it doesn’t help… About once every 3 or 4 games i get lagged out and it counts as a last place finish against my rank…really annoying and needs to be fixed asap.

Exactly what happens to me. I’ve lagged out of so many games lately that I’ve dropped 3 ranks. :’(

Just happened to me a few times. As soon as my team caught up in score I lagged out.
To minimize disconnects go wired with an open nat.
I’m getting stressed out over slayer only because I lose most matches and luckily, I was unranked. But I decided to give a go at slayer ranked and I was at a losing point but me and another player caught up and somebody on the other team left and then I lag out. I was just frustrated and almost had the feeling like how other people say that they are going to uninstall Halo or their other game. I just lost it at that point. This just makes me afraid to play ranked games. If slayer goes wrong, I play breakout, I wonder what happens there.
Same here. I am done playing until they get this fixed. It was bad enough having to constantly reboot the system and modem but you shouldn’t have to keep monkeying around with system and modem settings for one snowflake of a game. It only adds to the aggravation when developer won’t acknowledge the issue and at least tell us they are trying to fix it.
If anyone reads this in attempt to try to fix thier problem by googling everything to do with halo 5 loosing connection to servers…yea this problem is still going on lol. If anyone of you figured out how to fix this please let me know.

This thread is about 4 months old (try not to reply to old threads; that’s bad), but I’ll help out anyways.Try performing a hard reset by holding down the console’s power button until it shuts off. Let it cool down for 30 seconds before turning it back on.
If that doesn’t work, you should also consider restarting your internet router to fix your issue. There are two methods:
A. Unplugging it from the power outlet for 10-30 seconds, then plugging it back in
B. Holding down the reset button on the router until it restarts itself
This generally takes about 5 minutes to complete, but will flush out any issues in the process.
is their any lag compensation in game???
I`m close to the west eu server and if i play people from far away (saudi-arabia,India,USA and South America) it feels like i got an disadvantage.
Usually the USA players will got an ping of 100ms+ to west eu server (my ping is like 30ms so i must have an advantage over them)
My average accuracy is 55% so its not that i cant shoot, also i die fast(faster than 5shots) vs player with no strafe
I know on which server i am because i use netduma r1 router.
If there is a lag compensation please turn it of
