So last night, I was playing BTB and I’m working on the “Big Gun Runner” commendation and it just ticks me off to no end when people betray me to get the power weapons. One game last night, a guy Spartan charges me for a binary rifle. Okay, maybe once is tolerable. Couple games later, I get a sniper rifle that someone was racing me for, and as soon as I take it, he picks up a dropped splinter turret and betrays me for it! Okay, now I’m pissed. Then, another game, I go for the binary rifle again, and somebody Spartan charges me to death for it and teabags me. Well, okay, I’m pissed, but I figure I’ll just go for the incineration cannon. I go for it, and that same guy is there, Spartan charges me off the ledge, and takes it. And he doesn’t even get kills with either of them!
Don’t go for Big Gun Runner in BTB. Get a useless rank in FFA and do it there. Low rank players don’t pick up power weapons because they can’t use them they just run around with ARs.
Alternatively, do it in Slayer on maps with the Plasma Caster. NOBODY picks that -Yoink- up. Just make sure to swap it back out again afterwards!
I just ignore them or kill them back to eventually let them know if they try to kill me, they’ll die first- or they get kicked

I betray them right back and take the weapon back. The kill me again I boot them. I think they give players one free betrayal. Although it may be two. Also some times I will just follow them , shoot them often enough to keep their shields down until they get killed. They usually get the point. Usually.

Haha don’t you hate that. I have raged from time to time when I get betrayed for the Power weapons.

The final guy I did betray because I was so ticked off! I got the incineration cannon he failed to hold onto and destroyed the ghost he was using…and then I reported him.
I had a teammate in slayer beat me down for a storm rifle.
A storm rifle. 
Like, he was good, better than the rest of us, but that was totally unnecessary. Dude was a total -Yoink-.

I rarely even pick up the storm rifle. I will pick it up if its convenient like I’m low in ammo. Otherwise I don’t use it. I 'm only good with it when I catch people where they can’t strafe.
This has happened too many times. Dude even messaged me talking trash… I had 15 kills, 1 death, all with the sniper. My one death was because I was betrayed. The jerk that betrayed me had maybe 2 kills and 16 deaths.
If people used their dang mics, then I’d let people get power weapons…
RANDY: “Hey dude let me get that snipe…”
ME: “Are you any good with it?”
RANDY: “I’m pretty good…”
Then I let them take it. But if they say, “I’m alright”, then I’m like, next time…
Im saying this as a confession, but if i have ever stuck teammates going for power weapons (i know i have) i was going for the combat evolved medal. Not too many times but occasionally i throw a sticky near a weapon spawning to get the medal for the commendation, and a betrayal pops up, and not once have i meant to kill a teammate, its just a -Yoink- move in my eyes to take someone else’s power weapon
This hasnt happened to me in H5… (busy working and not playing a ton) but in older halos it has. I make it a side mission to find that player on my next lives and keep shooting him enough to keep him one shot. I mostly play unranked so idc if it affects the outcome of the game. I just like to run around and kill stuff.
This for me makes an annoying situation into something fun.

This…I mean if you can get banned for quitting then surely they can too for unsporting behavior, right?
I am one of those people that do not use the power weapons much, if hardly at all, reason being is that I am not that good with them and this is because I don’t get a chance to use them because someone else has them.
But when I do get a power weapon I try my hardest to get kills, although sometime not very many(if at all! lol).
What really ticks me off though is when other people think it is “their power wapon” and you get betrayed for it.
Mind you I go for the weapons I know that I can handle, no use me geting the sniper rifle if I can’t hit a barn door with it, but what I have done an I think it is appreciated by other players is when i give it up to them as I have seen them owning the map with it.
