I don’t get it. I’m Gold III, over 60 games played, have a 5.5 K/D/A, never go below positive and i keep getting matched with people who have less than their first 10 games played and a negative K/D/A. Just came out of a 3 streak loss because every game had a person who was on their first couple of games, less than a -2 K/D/A and went had a <.2 K/D at the end of the match. Not even going 7 for 1 on my end was able to do anything about it.
How are we supposed to test anything with these pathetic matches?
I just finished a 16 game win streak with my team. Pushed Onyx almost to semipro. It’s called Team Slayer for a reason, get yourself a team. When a single ranked playlist is all that’s available atm, of course you’re going to get tossed in with all the socialites.
At the end of the day though, beta is beta, and it is entirely pointless to get worked up over a rank that will dissolve into nothing in 3 weeks.
I have a team, but it’s not always on when I am. But I’m not asking to be matched up with pros, I just want people who are at least somewhat as experienced as I am. Not playing their first few games.
Also, yes, this is beta. But if this isn’t changed in beta then it will be in the real game where ranks do matter.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Bronze - Onyx don’t mean -Yoink-. I hate to break it to you but they really don’t. It’s just a grind. Real rank doesn’t occur until semipro when you entire the bracket play.

Get some friends? The beta has been out for 4 days, you dont play with friends you’ll get stuck with scrubs. You only rank when you win, not off of individual stats.
Remove the whole system. Bring in the halo 3 ranking system.
Also nerf the -Yoink- out of the sprint with prophets bane. Make the sprint 3 seconds long with a 3 second cool down if someone has the sword as a primary or secondary weapon (to avoid unlimited sprint then change wep to sword)
Did u guys ever think that it’s designed to be this way…it’s suppose to build competition every match counts u must win and u shouldn’t rank up easy because there are only a certain amount of spots for pro and semi pro everyone can’t be semi pro or pro in order to do that u have to win more than they do…I love the ranking system it’s make matches extremely intense because you have to win
also think about this if u can’t even win matches against other gold players what do you think the pro and semi pro players are going to do to you…u see they have to win almost every game to stay pro they can lose there rank at any moment

My thoughts exactly…ppl today want everything easy…u have three different ranks…service rank…which is ur experience points…kda and kd…which is your kill death…and win loss ratio…which is your competative rank…you have to prove you can carry a team if not why would you go to next level…do these guys think that wal shy and ninja and the rest of the pros are crying about the ranking system
I get matched up with low ranks on my team more than I’d like when I’m not with my buddies (who are silvers and golds also, they aren’t too great). Then the other team is full Onyx.
I still carry the game to win when my teammates get a 0.3 K/D. Yay.
I like the matchmaking idea, I think, when the game is finished it will help provide much fairer gameplay for everyone. But right now, I do have some questions about the skill rank as it doesn’t seem to actually rank players at the right levels. My mate has just started playing Halo online for the first time, but his stats are something like 0.4 KD and has won 3 out of 15 games, finishing last or 7th in most of those games and is a Silver II ranked player. I’ve won about 65% of my games and have a KD of 2.15 and I’m a Bronze III?

You know, it’s really hard to get a team when all your friends like other crap games, and don’t even own the damn game…

I think you missed the OP’s point. The problem is having inexperienced or lower skilled players on your team. I don’t care how good you are, making up for three people going -15 is pretty much impossible.

Xbox one can have up to 1000 people on the friends list. Make new friends.

Uh, since those ranks are required to get to semi-pro and above, yes they matter. But that’s not the point. Once again, I’m simply asking that ranked people be put up against ranked people and people who haven’t played their first 10 games be put up against those that haven’t either. Also, rank is rank, it doesn’t matter what kind of progression system is used.

I’ll repeat myself, I have a team, I have friends. Sometimes, no one is on. Is it too much too ask for to have people who are of the relatively same rank go up against similar players? Does this harm anything or mess up anyone’s playing experience?
