I remember finding this one post on Halo Waypoint that talked about the best method of getting rarer armor in Halo 5.
I think it said of opening a silver Req first, and then a gold, but I’m still not quite sure.
Does anyone know about this method? Or the original topic (A link would be nice if anybody knows :3)?

It’s all RNG… However if you want to unlock all the stuff as fast as possible AND spend the least amount of req points it’s best to open silvers until they refund points instead of unlocks and them open golds. That is because there is silver level stuff in golds… So you risk getting silver level items at a gold price. But if you unlock all the silver stuff first you will get nothing but the gold level items at the gold price. It is definitely the best way to unlock the reqs rather than opening random level packs or worse I saw some one once say they only got gold packs (that is the longest and most expensive way to unlock everything).
Definitely agree with opening the silver packs first after you done with the bronze packs, also when you play use your rp bonus and place in the top five or three to gain more rp.
