Any word on a fix? I honestly killed 12 people trying to get out of the map Antifreeze last night. I’ve had teams take the flag outside the map preventing the other team from scoring and having a chance to win! This happens on nearly every BTB map. I report them for cheating every time.
This is kind of a staple to halo games. Remember super bounces? Pretty much every iteration of halo has had glitches and exploits that were never cleaned up in their lifetime. I suggest you stop reporting players who are doing this and just write 343 directly. No one should be banned for using what is given to them in a map. I can tell you that I play A LOT and this is not a common occurrence. It’s just gamers being less than serious. Which is what a lot of halo is about.
Anyways, if you know about these out of map spots, go to them and wreck the kids hiding away. It’s quite satisfying to do that. More so than feeling like you’re entitled to deliver bans.

exactly i remember ppl enjoying glitches back in the day, now we have a bunch of cry babies… and if you want to get technical its not really out of the map since its built in forge, which is a huge map to begin with. but anyways that just being a smart -Yoink-

I’m glad someone sees my point of view(: I don’t see anything as cheating unless its users manipulating the game through mods. If an exploit is introduced through dev error, the blame should be on devs and not the users who take advantage of the exploit. It’s essentially the same as picking up a BR. And we aren’t talking about moral codes for gamers, so please don’t bring that up as a counter argument, because I totally get that side of things. this gen of halo players seem to feel so entitled to being the justice system and don’t want anyone to play the game their way.
About a week ago I got reported for standing near the water in Warzone and picking off enemies with long shots, and he spawned into a suicide. He told me that 343 has strict rules on where and where not to go on a map. I laughed so hard. I have yet to see a guide book on where and where not to stand in halo.
well BTB is social…and no its not cheating the map was made that way and people are simply using it to their advantage…so stop crying about it…to be honest its actually really fun in CTF when both teams are trying to run the flag outside the map lol.

Yes! I was cracking up, but also pretty upset he was coming at me like that. He said “I even recorded a clip of you shooting and tea bagging and it shows that you intentionally spawned me off the map. 343 will directly ban you and side with me on these things. Please don’t cheat again.”
i thought he was just trolling but our discussion got super heated. I tried my best to convince him that I can’t intentionally spawn him to his death. I can’t target a player like that. Warzone spawns are so unpredictable.
This just goes to show the length people will go to get mad over not having their way. It’s a game, have fun outside of the maps of you wish(:
super bouncing was halo 2. ever since halo 2 there has been little options to get outside of maps, the developers have tried to take this out of the games. the DLC maps that halo 5 has do not have any places to escape the map that have been easily exploited. the problem here is not that halo has always been about getting out of the map, its that the maps they gave us for BTB are cheap and lazy.
these BTB maps were not worked on for months by a team of guys. they were forge maps just thrown together by one employee, often not even 343 staff members. ( each map was made by a different person, but pretty much all were made by one guy). These maps are not high quality, were not tested like they should have been, and surely cost 343 almost nothing to make. If they had made these maps properly they would not be escapable like this.
I expect high quality DLC maps that are fun to play and that have and even playing ground. having holes in the map for people to escape is not fun, and it is not how the game is intended to play. if they meant that to happen then sure, lets have fun. the fact is people are exploiting poorly made forge maps that have been presented to us as “free DLC maps”. 343 is lazy, that is all this proves.
This reminds me of Asylum from Reach. So many ways to get out of that map…
