Getting my friends to like halo(and its music)

So my friends and I were listening to some instrumental music, and halo came on. Naturally, I loved it. My friends said it was “ok” but that they’d like to hear how it is in game. And neither of them really like halo (or have really played it in the first place). So they come over a lot, and I was wondering what specific moments from ANY halo game you all would suggest to show/play with them. Preferably something ridiculously epic, combined with an amazing halo track playing in the background. There are tons of these though, and sadly we can’t play every single games campaign all the way through. So what do you all suggest we should play? I don’t care too much about spoiler missions so that’s ok to include. Suggestions? (This may sound out of place in the H5 forum, and I apologize. But this is mainly for getting them on board and hyped for halo 5!)

Warthog run, halo 3’s last mission. I think it speaks for itself.

Edit: The end of the NMPD mission in ODST is also a very awesome moment.

The Warthog runs at the end of Halo CE and Halo 3 immediately come to mind.

Crow’s Nest has some nice music moments sprinkled throughout the mission.

The Broadsword flight at the beginning of the final mission “Midnight” in Halo 4 really shows how epic the track “117” is. Another good “117” moment is the end of the mission “Infinity”.

The opening of the Halo CE mission “The Silent Cartographer” gives me goosebumps every time, thanks to the combination of epic music and a hot beach landing.

Just watching the Halo 4 prologue is spine-tingling. The use the track “Sacrifice”, which is very good in addition to the dialogue between Halsey and the interrogator that overlaps the scenes of Chief and other Spartan II’s dominating Covies.

About halfway through the Halo 3 mission “The Ark”, you fight your way up to a couple of anti-air Wraiths so the Forward Unto Dawn can swoop down and drop you some reinforcements. The music is epic the whole time and the powerful gust of wind as FUD comes in is awesome.

Gotta love these:

Halo 2 Earth City
Halo Main Theme
Halo 3: The Ark - The Farthest Outpost
The Covenant-One Final Effort

God, whenever I listen to Halo music, I always get warm chills constantly moving up my spine. It brings back so many good memories from the old days and it makes me love Halo even more. I would do anything for 343i to bring back the old music we all know and love.

That was my first exposure to Halo, and got me hooked. That was…13 years ago? Oy.

Edit: OH! Lol. I thought you meant Halo: CE. Thanks for making me feel old.

I have a Pandora station with tons of Halo music. I think you see how successful it is by listening to certain tracks and knowing exactly the moment that track plays.

Well, that is equally as awesome, lol.

Just after you land on Delta Halo in Halo 2, so they can hear the epic mysteriousness of “Peril.”

In ODST, at the end of “NMPD HQ” when you and your squad minus Rookie and Dare are by the crashed Pelican and shooting down wave after wave of Banshee’s. Some of the most epic music from any game ever IMO.
