Getting Kind of Bored

Now don’t get me wrong, Halo4 has been a fun game. I am not here to rant about how Halo2 and Halo3 were soo much better (to me they were better). But I am getting tired of trying to raise my SR. For a while I have been trying to raise my K/D (not bragging but mine is over 2.0), that has gotten old because it involves no teamwork. The only time I want to play is when my friends text me and ask if I want to play BTB with them. I am extremely competitive and winning is a must, but for what reason?? An extra 500 points or a warm feeling in my stomach??? Come on…

So… what are you saying again? You make a point with not point. Where is your so what? If winning doesn’t do it for you then what are you proposing. Or are you just looking for people to sympathize with you who feel the same. What is your end game?

He is posting his opinion in a public forum. Why does he need an end game or a purpose. He is simply stating that he is bored of this game and why.

You are correct. This is a public forum and if I’m not mistaken we are all posting our opinions. So what is your point and purpose of addressing me? Exactly…

I too have become bored… And I’m only SR-77. The gametypes, the maps, the stagnant gameplay. I want to play but one or two games in a playlist and I’m bored of that playlist. After a few playlists and I’m bored with the game.

I actually put in Halo Reach tonight… I’m sad to say I enjoyed myself. That could have been because I played on Countdown, though.

Sounds to me like the OP has run out of incentive to keep playing. Past games, sans Reach, had Ranked and Social playlists that catered to both crowds. Like competitive player based on ranks? You have a playlist. Just want to play for fun? So do you. With Halo 4, well, there isn’t anything really there.

At least it has opened my eyes and not being so closeminded anymore and I went and tried out COD without the mindset of “this game is -Yoink-” and i’ve actually started enjoying it a lot more than I used to. You should try it out if you haven’t already

That’s what I’ve been trying to preach for years. Literally Halo 4 to it’s core is a really really awesome game. And people try using the arguement that it has evolved and people need to adapt with the changes but what they don’t realize is that we people have evolved as well. Simply popping in a game and just playing “for fun” only lasts for so long. We need more incentives it’s natural. I love the game but “war games” is just so idk how to put it… dry maybe? There’s just nothing exciting like I said when it first came out i was playing hours upon hours trying to level up getting commendations and XP but that “fun” factor only lasts for so long. We’ve evolved and we need more. It’s nature. For the ones who don’t that’s good for them. Halo 2/3 took a BIG step forward into offering a completely new experience with their Ranking system. It was the definition of EVOLUTION in FPS console gaming. Now i’m not saying that it didn’t have any flaws but now instead of working on that or even replacing it with something better being inovative they’ve just completely thrown that aspect of multiplayer away and are considering implementing a skill rank web based only… like really?
