Two weeks early? Don’t play online. Make on Offline account (Not even Silver) if you want to play it.
If you bought it legally, there should be no reason why you couldn’t play it. But I wouldn’t post any videos until the 6th, Microsoft is quite strict on what Halo 4 information is out on the interwebz right now.
Though the choice to play it or not is really up to you.

edit: to answer your question, no not really, microsoft made it a bannable offence to play games early to make it easier to ban people with illegal copies i’m pretty sure. one thing is for sure, they’ll definitely ban you so either don’t play or take serious offline measures.

Yeah, I’d avoid playing it online at all - don’t even put it in while connected to Xbox Live. I imagine you’d have to go through a whole lot of explaining, even if you get falsely/wrongly pinged by Microsoft.

I agree, just don’t play on Live at all, enjoy the campaign for these 2 weeks until everyone else gets the game. Besides, you won’t really find anyone to play MP with in the first place.

To be honest the OP doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody here by taking a picture. Businesses have copies of the game by now, it’s not unheard of that one of them ships a game by accident. He’s just asking what he can safely do with it and doesn’t need to impress people here who don’t appear to believe that mistakes in distribution centres do happen.
Make an unboxing video! I don’t think it will get removed just say in the description 343 and Microsoft own halo and its a legit copy. I’m starting to wish I ordered online

Post the unxboxing WITH you opening the BOX it came in. Show the recipt in the video. And it is legit. You can just email microsoft if you can, matter a fact… why the hell has anyone contacted microsoft if they can play it or not. This problem has been adressed eariler.
Shame on Best Buy for doing that. I hope who ever released that out to you early gets fired. Now Best Buy is gonna be in a lot of trouble my local Best Buy says they won’t release it until launch date. I preordered mine there so I’ll get it when it comes out on the launch date. For shame Best Buy, for shame.
