Since yesterday I have been getting kicked from a warzone and/or warzone firefight. When it boots me, it sends me to the matchmaking lobby. I can use all of the functions except for “Quit Activity”. Basically I’m stuck and have to reboot the game.
Try to go wired the game is very unstable on Wi-Fi
I have this same issue and have been actively troubleshooting it today. My connection is wired, modem, router, and switch are all current with firmware and actively working. It appears Halo is the only game that I am experiencing these issues on. I can still play other games online without any issues.
I have the same problem too, since Friday. It’s very frustrating. Getting close to the end and then all of a sudden you’re dropped from the game. It all just wasted time, lost XP and REQ, that was used during the match, just to come out empty handed and a DNF in your game history.
This seems to be an on going issue at the moment. This thread claims that by unplugging your xbox (hard reset) for about 60 seconds and then plugging it back in, the issue will be corrected. Not sure what sense that makes but I suppose it’s worth a try.
Update:
After doing a hard reset, I have played a few games and all seems well now. Again this makes no sense to me but I guess ‘turning of off and on again’ seems to be the answer, should have known…

Thank for the help. I can’t explain it either, but this trick worked. Played about a dozen or so matches with zero issues.

The reason you only experience this with H5 is most likely because H5 runs on dedicated servers. While your other games run on P2P. While having a game on dedicated servers is nice it has its draw backs as well. One being is you have to have a solid uninterrupted connection. P2P really seems to work on anything. Do you have a cable ISP?
I do have a cable ISP (TWC) that can be a bit wonky at times. I don’t doubt that the dedicated servers require a more solid connection otherwise it may drop you from the server, however I am not sure if this would be the case in the issue that we were experiencing. My xbox was getting an IP and able to connect consistently with any outside source. Once the xbox is talking to the networking equipment (switch, router, modem, server) there should be no issues. The hardware is behaving correctly all along the route. It was acting more like a software issue in that the device needed to be completely drained of power and then turned back on before it would stop with the hiccups. Either way it’s fixed now and for one am glad!
