Getting desperate for a gold pack...talk me down.

Hows it going fellas, I’m just stopping in and seeing what’s the word with the req system and if the bullet is worth biting for one of these 13 or 20 gold req pack bundles?

I’ve been using bronze since Day 1 and feel so empathetic towards these guys on YouTube, impressed at the large quantities of money used on gold, acquiring really awesome items. Funny, just about every pack opened, I also owned 90% of the items given, LoL.

I’m not a huge cosmetic guy, so my interest isn’t with any armor or helmets (I have over 84 pieces in my current, free collection). I’m really interested in two items, the Halo 2 BR and (pretty sure this is on everyone’s list) the DMR. Right now I’m at SR 40 and I’m getting real comfortable with the battle rifle again, but recently went on a tear with the Halo 2 version. Unlocked, I have 13 of the AR, and bout 10 of the BRs, one pistol, one smg. That’s it yo.

Anyway, is there hope I’ll eventually land one of these two items or is there really only certain items that are given from a gold pack? I’ve come to understand there are certain items that even on the rarest occasions, are not offered through the lower and lowest tiered packs (bronze and silver). I’m thinking the 10 plus 3 isn’t a bad deal for 30 bucks, 15 more and I got 7 extra (20 total), I’m just hoping I’ve unlocked enough of the common items not to get jerked over with these gold ones.

PS, if you sell back items does the req system purposely give you those items back or delete it from your history of obtained items? I literally sell every needler, carbine rifle, and suppressor, and almost get the same amount back every time.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You probably won’t get the H2 BR if you’ve still got a lot of uncommon unlocks left. So I wouldn’t spend the money.

Don’t spend money expecting a certain item because you won’t get it.

If you didn’t have your sights on anything in particular, I’d say go for it! Might get some cool stuff!

HOWEVER… since you’ve got your eye on some (2) items in particular, I’d advise against buying those gold bundles as you’d be setting yourself up for disappointment. Continue on with the silvers till you’ve got all your common through rares collected

I have made it fun for myself I save up about 100k req points make a pointless youtube video no one will watch. Set small goals and you wont worry so much about spending X amount of points every single time. It’s more fun buying a ton at once and getting whatever reward from your work.

He’s talking about spending real money.

Don’t dump money into REQ packs unless your literally made of money. It’s better to grind out REQ points for Silver/Gold packs.

I’m totally into what your saying here, but I’m getting a little restless. I’ve been doing this for like three months and seriously, nothing. This either the worse case of luck or just depressing. Maybe both?

It has nothing to do with being rich or not.

Don’t even think of buying any req bundles until you’ve at least finished out your silver packs.

I wouldn’t spend any money on recs. If you decide that you want to, make sure you unlock everything from the Silver packs first. If you buy Gold first, you will mostly unlock things that you can get in silver.

You can look at your collection and see what each item is rated. The DMR will only be found in Silver or Gold packs sing it starts at a Rare Req, and the H2 BR will only be found in Gold packs since it is a Legendary item.

If you’re willing to gamble go for it, but be prepared to be disappointed since you are only interested in those two items. If not, then your best bet is continue to be patient and grind out those Bronze and Silvers. I reached SR 80 before I unlocked them all. Don’t stress about it too much. Have fun just playing and you’ll get them eventually.

Dude don’t freebase REQs. My cousin once speedballed some -Yoink!- and gold REQs and she is paralyzed from the waist down now.

I recommend getting silver packs

Just keep grinding silvers until you’re done and then go for gold. If you really want a gold pack, I’d say to play Warzone/Assault for a few games to get enough for a gold pack and buy one that way.

I say never buy gold packs with cash period so we can slow down the Microtransactions train before it’s too late.

Golds aren’t really worth buying with real money till you complete silver’s. You know you have completed silver’s when you start getting back two 1500 req point cards when you open a pack.

if you’ve been buying bronze til level 40 you should definitely be buying (with RP not $$) silvers. Stick with silvers at least till level 80, then if you want to blow some money at least you’ll only get ultra rare + items…the grind is real…haha

Don’t buy gold packs until you’re almost finished with silver (i.e. almost gotten all rare and uncommon items)

What this guy said, DON’T buy golds until you have completed silver, its not worth it, if you complete silver you will get ultra rares and legendarys every time.

It great actually, its mostly ultra rare, but its seeded with legendary items throughout.
