This is just a bunch of BS. I don’t like to whine, but I have to, this is freaking
ridicoulous. I want to get Contoured SHRD leg armor badly, but in order to do it I need to complete the payback-Master commedation. The payback-master commedation is IMPOSIBLE. I need to immediately kill the enemy Spartan in War Games who just killed me, and do that 25 times, then do that 50 times, then do that 100 times, then do that 250 times, then do that 500 times. In other words I literally need to ‘immediately kill the enemy Spartan in War Games who just killed me’ 925 times. Just to make my spartan look slightly cooler I need to dedicate hundreds of hours just to do that. Does 343i expect it’s players to sit infron’t of their TV’s ALL day long, not go to work, or go to school. This is ridiculous, only someone who has no life, litterally, can accomplish this ridiculous feat, and it would take them probably a year of nonstop playing every single day, all day. Is it really worth it? Why even display that armor in the first place. Sorry for whining, but this is just rediculous. I wish the CR system was back, so I could just earn points and buy the f***ing armor.
Bottom line, trying to get certain armor in Halo 4 will eat up your life.
I used the nemesis thing to get them. It highlights the person who last killed you. I wasn’t really trying for it until I realized how close I was to getting them.
It’s not that bad, I’m closing in on 200 and I played less than 1000 games I think. There is a specialization ability that allows you to have marker on the last person that killed you for a few seconds, try using that.
All I have left in the Player commendations are the last tier for Assassination, Close Quarters and 2 tiers for Perfections. The commendations are easy to do in this game (automatic weapons and the Plasma Pistol aside, probably won’t worry about completing those).
Um I’ve gotten it in less than 1000 games so no it is not impossible.
Also you’re misunderstanding the commendation, all you have to do is kill the person who killed you before their next death, not necessarily right after. You’ll know that you’ve done it when you get a revenge medal.

Fix’d, and it should be coming really soon. Sometime in January, I think.
I’d be able to get it. I die a lot and seem to get my first kill with the guy that killed me. But I doubt I will actively seek it out. I will probably keep the armor I have on and never change it.
Now, the Contoured SHRD forearms is another story. You need Perfection - Master in order to get those. Kind of a lousy reward for such a challenging commendation; an alternate skin for a set of forearms.
All of the Wat Games Player commendations are almost entirely coincidental, and you will only do yourself a disservice in deliberately trying to achieve them. I got to 98% completion in all War Games commendations (not weapon commendations or etc.) simply by playing the game to win. Things like multikills, kills from the grave, sprees, perfections, revenge and avenger are all coincidental and taken when the opportunity arises. Trying to specifically get one of them is just maddening, and you’ll probably get just as many by playing normally. The only one that I really tried to get was First Strike master, but that’s easy enough to get in Flood.
