I got called a cheater by some kid for stomping him into the ground in 1 vs 1 reinforcements. I snagged up his and my resource terminal with 1st wave, 2nd wave snagged up my side reactor, and built 3 pads 1 barracks and 1 reactor. Got up to 2400 took a wave - 3 2 star tanks - built a spartan, sent the tanks to his base… I’m a cheater when they wreck it!

I play on my lunch nearly everyday and I get a game about every 5 minutes. I was able to play 4 games today on my lunch break.

I’m sorry you feel that way. The maps easily are and reinforcements is an awesome break from standard when you have played well over 5 months worth of time in it like I have. Reinforcements hands down is my favorite playlist… I play as anders - using the underdog technique as she does not do as well as forge does in the playlist.

The overall opinion of the Game Mode Pack is that its not worth it, even if you play for 5 months.

I play reinforcements all the time and Loved playing 3s when there was a much larger population in the game type. People can contradict or hate on the game type - I don’t care as I absolutely love it and play it as often as I can.
The underdog play-style is simply to not do what everyone else does. Most people play as forge as Reinforcements gives you your units based on the money you have. Forge makes the most money in a game - therefor he has the advantage early game.
I reinforcements - if you don’t have a base, you lose. I play Anders in the game type as her upgrade, cryo, and ability to double base early prove to be the most useful part of her play-style. I do a lot of early game harassment by taking tech 1 waves and harass/hot drop them in and mess with my opponents.
It is an underdog way of playing and is extremely risky. If you don’t pull it off right - your opponent will be at your base with air/tanks quite quickly wrecking it. So it’s a lot of skill with some luck/randomness thrown in with the computer giving you your units.

So “underdog” is picking anders then rush forge so he cant out eco you, basically using Anders how she is supposed to be used…
No one is “hating” on renforcements, just dont think its worth 10$ to play a game type that forever in “low-pop”. Just trying to stear others away from the the same mistakes we made, by buying the game add-ons. The map pack is far more popular.

The funny thing is - somebody is always searching in it and I have gotten a couple dozen more people back into the playlist. It’s an awesome gametype… You should play it.
Using Anders how she is supposed to be in Standard somewhat works in Reinforcements. Forge actually has better capabilities for an early game rush as his economy is stronger and provides larger early waves… Forge is better period, so Anders is the underdog.
