I figured I would start this in order to better help/understand this problem for both 343 and us.
The issue: many people will attempt to log into a match via the infinity section of the game. Upon map selection we will be treated to the UNSC hologram logo spinning. A majority will have the logo freeze and he booted right back to the main menu.
Potential solutions I have tried:
Swapped discs with retailer - still occurs.
Swapped to a brand new, clean HDD - still occurs.
Reinstall via Internet - still occurs.
Reinstall via brand new disc - still occurs.
Reset network setting - still occurs.
My Console:
Old style, white Xbox. Unfortunately I am not home to read off the manufacturing code and serial number.
Maps that I can play any game mode on:
Ragnarok
Complex
Abandon
Solace
Meltdown
Features I can not access:
Any game mode on any map not listed above
Spartan ops
Forge
Custom match making.
