I am just getting the crimson achievements in the Crimson DLC playlist. I have got all of them except getting 20 kills with the mantis stomp attack. I still haven’t got this because everyone time I get in the mantis, the entire team pulls out their plasma pistols and grenades and basically destroy it. If I stick in the game afterwards, they continue to betray me the entire game. Not once I have I ever seen an option to boot them. Now when they start, I immediatly quit the game which I have literally done like in my past dozen games.
Can we please make it where teammates plasma pistals don’t work on vehicles from the same team and can’t be destroyed by teammates either? I have overlooked a lot of stuff about this game because I love it, but it is ridiculous when I can’t even have fun in one game now.
> Yes, it’s happen all the times but not only with DLC, it’s also happen with scorpion, wraith and cannon gauss
Yes and 343 should have really added that in their last title update. I really hope they do by the next one. My favorite aspect of Halo multiplayer is the vehicles, and I can’t even enjoy them anymore.
Happens to me a lot. Especially when Land grab was still out. People did nothing but splatter you, destroy you vehicles, and splatter you and your vehicles with bigger vehicles. They focused more on betraying people than finishing the mission!
Im guessing because they want the achievement too. Just give it some time, once more people get the achievement, it will give them less incentive to betray.

But what is the point in betraying me? If they beat me to it, I let them have it and go do my own thing. I expect the same respect in return, but over the last decade, I have learned that people’s IQ when playing online games drops to -5.

Yeah that’s true, people change when they play online 'cause they think they’re invincible behind their monitor, all we can do is not stoop down to their level. I understand exactly how you feel. One way to overcome that might be to play with a party of friends.
Yeah, same with my friends, moved back to other Halo’s or quit altogether, hopefully the new ranking system in January will bring 'em back, if your from Australia/New Zealand add me, if not then unfortunately the lag would be unbearable for either of us
When I first got the game I was given the option to boot somebody that betrayed me. And I did because they kept shooting at my guy when I picked up the sniper rifle.
Then last week I noticed there was no boot option. Maybe 343 took it out for the hyper booters? Hyper Booters being the ones that would boot people when team kills were just going to happen because it gets so crazy at times. Many times when I get betrayed I think, “Whatever…” and go on because I know crazy stuff happens, especially in Halo.
However, I see what some of you are saying though. One game on BTB a couple of nights ago, there were 3 guys working together to constantly betray people over and over. It’s like they knew the boot option was taken away.
Maybe 343 could put in a friendly fire option? Or would that take away from any challenge of the game?
I agree with the booting option to an extent. Until I am having an awesome game, I accidentally betray somebody when everybody is one one huge fight fest (like a looney toons cloud of smoke), and I get booted losing all my XP or gains. That’s what irritates me.
Or maybe another option could be that if you betray somebody 2 or 3 times in a game the boot option turns on?
I remember playing Battlefield 2 on Xbox… there was a vote option. If somebody was betraying players on purpose people had to vote to boot them. If the entire map voted (or side) then the person would get ejected from the game.
This kept it fair so the hyper booters could not just boot because they felt like it if a legit accident occurred.
First off, I have total understanding of and sympathy for this complaint. I have always been of a mind that XBL is a public forum and therefore the general etiquete of public behaviour should apply. I have long detested team killing for the weapon/vehicle people seem to believe they have a divine right to.
That said, this is the level of gamer 343 tried oh so very hard to entice into the halo multiplayer when they strayed from the more competetive gameplay of the ealier titles(excluding reach obv).
Don’t worry too much though. The guys you’ve been playing with will almost certainly be playing CoD again by Thursday.

About the DLC achievements, but is it just me, or do some of them seem as crazy as some of the challenges we get? for instance, how on earth do you easily get 15/16 automatic weapons kills in 1 game when you always get nothing but assists and almost everyone is using long range weapons anyway? All a bit crazy to me lol.
