Why do we get banned for so long for quitting a match early? i understand getting banned a minute the most but i have been banned for a good 5 minutes now its ridiculous. Its not my fault that everytime i join a game that i play with a team full of begginers and i dont feel like sitting through 12 minutes of losing because i cant hold the team the whole game. PLEASE consider getting rid of the ban time or at least lower it. Im sure we have all played our fair share of games with begginers but it happens to me 9 out of 10 times and i just cant play through the game while my whole team goes negatives.
If you’re consistently quitting you’re consistently leaving your team at a huge disadvantage. Why SHOULDN’T you be punished for that? It’s no fun to the rest of your team that you just left behind to play a man down.
You don’t get hit with the quit ban unless you’ve quit a significant amount of games. Reduce your quitting and you won’t be on quit ban probation and won’t have that problem. It’s a 10 minute quit ban, not the end of the world.
Dude it’s just five minutes. I recommend playing Arena as it’s like the only playlist that matches you up with similar-skilled players…

now i havent been quit banned but now that 343 has put in its BPR if the people on your team are idots and keep running into a room that has a guy w/a sword or shotgun and you loose then you look bad (according to 343) because you lost lowering your BPR. Also say like what happened to me today playing griffball I accidentally betrayed someone and apologised and then in turn he repeatedly betrayed me 47 times and I couldn’t boot him so why isn’t there a reason for me to quit when my teammate is being a Beep and spawn raping my whole team just because of an accident?
If anything, the quit ban needs to be harsher. I’m sick of people quitting (especially in Invasion and BTB where the game becomes a spawn kill fest). If you join a game, you’d better play until it’s finished. After, avoid all the noobs and move on.
IMO, quitters shouldn’t get the hammer, they get the axe.

I understand that you might want to quit if 2 players already quit on your team. Seems like you deserved it though.
Abandoning your teammates is a horrible thing, the punishment should be more.

I think he’s right, you obviously deserve it, I never intentionally leave a game, even when my whole team quits, which really is the problem in the first place, quitting ruins the game.

A simple solution to your problem is not to quit.
Quit ban never stopped me from playing. I’m not gunna stay in a map or gametype I hate or play with teammates who don’t know how to play. It’s been ages since I got a quit ban but when I did because hemorrhage or sword base AR’s would show up several times I’d just switch accounts and keep going. Circumvent the stupid quit ban ftw.

People who quit becuase they don’t like the map, variant, their team mates, how the game is progressing or whatever else are also breaking a rule. They being a bad sport, and honestly If I had a 20$ for Ever single quitter I’ve ever met I would have to worry about paying anything…EVER!
Quitting a game is Bad and should Only be done in terms of an emergency!

I quit when my team sucks and were loosing 20-3, when there is no point playing because the other team is statting, or when half of my team are already gone. This happens more times than not, and im not going to stay around to carry noobs every game.

I’ve been through that too, but you know what I know that it’s still wrong to quit in the game. Why? Because if nothing else that just really upsets other members of your team and you’re supposed to be a team player and team means: “Together Everyone Achieves More”
Now, I understand that it’s Extremely aggravating to high heaven and you wanna scream and shout and even beat the crud out of those who are stat farming and all. However, you shouldn’t punish those who are innocent by leaving. It’s easy to quit, it’s hard to keep your head high do your best and stick with your team.
Believe me I feel your pain. If you don’t believe me, check my file share there’s two clips of where the other team stat farmed, we had a person quit, and the rest of us just gritted our teeth and stuck it out.
Why do people keep posting this issue,there are countless of topics about it and 343 still didn’t fix it and they probably never will fix it in Reach.

You may have skill, but you don’t have honor.
Finish your matches, even the bad ones. Fight as a team. Have fun at any cost and don’t let anything stop you. If you’re the last guy left on your team after everyone else has rage quit, don’t give your opponents the satisfaction of a forfeit. After all, it’s harder for a full team to find a single player than it is for them to find another team. Use that to your advantage and buck up.
