Okay, here’s my problem: On matchmaking, specifically in levels where there are replays when you are killed, I see people hitting me with shots when their reticle isn’t even on me. How is this possible?! I dunno if its some form of lag or if its a controller glitch, but it really makes me mad when I see people kill me when I am out of their line of vision (like behind cover or if I just went down a flight of stairs).
Can someone explain why I see this? Or, if you know what I’m talking about because you see it or you do it can you leave a comment?
Thanks…
Kill Cams (or “Situational Record” as 343 calls it) don’t work too well often. They are very buggy.
Situational Record? Victory Crouch?
Wow, now I think they are just trying to be cute
The Kill Cams are totally broken. They will almost always someone shooting at a wall or completely missing you. I’m not sure why they’re even in the game if they haven’t worked since Day 1.
Kill cams maybe annoying, but you have an advantage. It gives away the players position so you are able to have the opportunity of getting a Revenge medal. Thats what i do all the time and makes me laugh when players start yelling when i get back at them.
It’s lag.
And yes, getting shot around corners is complete -Yoink-.
Lmao, killcams are still broken, that’s pretty bad.
Yeah, high controller sensitivity messes those things up.
I just got out of a game. I don’t normally quit but this was ridiculous: me and someone on the enemy team with an AR, I shot first and emptied my clip into him. He didn’t go down, and then, after I shot him, he turned around, did one short burst of the exact same gun, and I died. I shot him point blank and his shields didn’t even go out. I’m done with multiplayer, might go back to Reach.

Huh?
You can’t hear the other team in matchmaking, and I hear proximity voice is gone.
It’s amazing that people still don’t realize the killcams are broken.

It might give you an advantage, it might not. If your killer is right next to you, all the replay does is hinder your awareness, because you probably know how you died, and you know where the killer is, but you can’t see REALTIME.
However, if you got sniped from across the map, the replay lets you know where they were.
Because the first situation happens far more than the second situation, I’d rather they just remove the buggy system entirely. I’d much rather the camera just point to the killer. That way you know their general position, and you also have situational awareness while you’re waiting to respawn.
I always cancel the replay anyway unless I was taken by surprise.

Kill cams in any game have never worked.

Maybe they just need confirmation that they’re broken and not just showing how messed up the game is.
