Ok so I was originally going to buy an xbox one just for Halo but now that ive seen what 343i is doing with Halo 5 I just cant come to the same conclusion. I was going to get the halo xbox bundle so I could play with my bro and dad and then buy halo5 so I could do split screen with my bro, dad, and cousin and then 343 I says “nope, not happening” and now im seriously considering not getting an xbox one and instead just not buying a console. So I ask you guysto tell me the positives of having an xbox one and the positives of the halo games in the one, as well as the negatives.
Depends how much money you have, really. I didn’t vote because really any of the options are doable. Do you have a blu-ray player? Are you interested in CoD, Destiny, and Battlefront (games that will be/are being shown favoritisim on PlayStation) + the other exclusives that PS4 will have? Or are you a Halo/Gears player, interested in playing 360 games on your One?
There are a lot of factors that go into it. If you see yourself playing or have played a decent amount of console games, and you have the money, the question isn’t if but which. If not, then just stick to what you have.
I have recently got a Xbox One, and am very happy with it. I reccomended going for Xbox One, because of all it’s features. Not just a gaming machine, you can watch movies, listen to music, connect your TV up to it and even order pizza. Still, if you prefer the PS4 exclusives (or upcoming exclusives) such as Bloodborne, Rachet and Clank, Uncharted 4, etc, then go for the PS4. But if you like the Xbox One exclusives including Halo, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Scalebound (I think), go Xbox One. Luckily, the FFVII remake, FFXV and probably FFXVI (when it’s announced) will also be on Xbox one if you like Square Enix games. but in the end, I would go for Xbox One all the way. And as the above poster said, backwards compatibility is coming. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Once again, it depends on what kind of game you play and which exclusivity you want.
One and PS4 are pretty much the same. I got an Xbox and I’m very happy with it, I got all Halo, Tomb Raider, Fall Out, BFIII FF etcetc… and they are doing many improvement in every update.

343 has considered updating Halo 5 with it, they said “Never say never.” They have been listening to fans both for Halo and the xbox one itself so it can likely be put back in. But there is tons of coop in MCC itself, 4 campaigns and loads of multiplayer, also forge. If your debating PS4 vs Xbox one I would just go xbox, besides Halo they have the same games but Halo might get split screen again. In addition backwards compatibility will let you play 360 Halo games on the xbox one if all else fails. I can understand xbox vs nothing but theres no point to a PS4.
I was just debating on getting a one or using my money for something else (soccer and other things).
I got xbox one about 11 months ago and I love it I find the controller much better then the 360.but the choice is yours.

This pretty much sums up my opinion. As for my opinion of Halo on the XB1, I love it. Now that MCC works I have 5 of my favorite games in one place and my all time favorite game (Halo 2) beautifully remastered. Halo 5 is bringing new things to the table and I view that as a positive. I get very annoyed when people say Halo 5 “isn’t Halo” as I believe it is exactly what Halo should be. This series has always been revolutionary and I think Halo 5 is exactly where Halo should be going. So yeah…you should buy and Xbox 1 if you have the money and like the exclusives!

I like the exclusives but they are just becoming CoDs, as I like to say, as in same gameplay next year after next year. For Example Forza 5 has few tracks and few very few cars.
