Getting a weapon before someone else

For people who kill teammates if they get a power weapon first.

Where did you learn to be so cooooool?

it’s something normal on Halo… That’s why they have to remove friendly fire

I know right, and despite being soo “cool” they’ll go off and try to (let’s say, snipe with a sniper rifle.) and fail. Giving the enemy team the power weapon. Or wasting all the ammo…

Sadly this isn’t something that can be fixed. Disabling friendly fire would not sit well with people who want to play “competitively” and I somewhat agree. Friendly fire is Halo, but it also leads to a lot of misuse by others. But I don’t know, it’s only a problem with Halo for some reason. Has been since either 3 or Reach. I wouldn’t mind if they disabled it, than it would fall into line with most other Arena games. But than people will find a way to abuse it in games like CTF or Grifball where they can launch players or shield them with grenades or something. But than again, friendly fire is also something unique to Halo… Man. Overall it’s a controversial topic.

Eh. I just wish most of the player base had half a brain to know not to betray your teammates. For any reason at all.

I do not think that they need to remove friendly fire, i think that people need to understand team work

that’s quite impossible m8… Filthy casuls Will never be Able to do that… That’s why i think that removibg friendly fire Like in Halo 4/warzone is the best way to stop this bad behavior(?)

They removed friendly fire in some Halo 4 playlists, it was great in a ridiculous way. And by that I mean throwing many many nades whenever there was close quarters combat between teams and you could run straight at the enemy WHILE you teammates carpet bombed EVERYTHING around you. Same goes for shooting, just unload what ever weapon you have in the general direction of the CQ mob!

I very much enjoyed it but it would be a bad thing to add into Halo 5, even though I get killed an awful lot by my teammates and then the kill goes to the other team…

EDIT: Shooting sniper bullets through you teammates head into an enemies head was also fun!

Removing it does not help much when they use a vehicle to splatter you

We learned it from you okay! We learned it from watching you!

This is an awful idea. Some players are jerks, we don’t need to change the gameplay for that reason.

I don’t care that much when it happens. I just betray him right back.

I don’t mind the friendly fire, I do mind its abuse, though. & There IS a difference, for example. In a game a couple of days ago, I was purposely betrayed, by a member of my team for the plasma caster, who the proceeded to nade the crap out of everything in sight, including myself, making that two betrayals in a matter of seconds. Then he quit. Let that sink in for a sec. Yesterday I was trying to rocket a clambering foe, & my team mate was caught in the blast radius, first betrayal (by accident) in weeks. Accidents can happen, but to a good player they don’t happen often

Removing friendly fire leads to other gameplay consequences. For instance, if I have rockets and you’re on my team and engaged in a close quarters shoot out with an enemy, I can just fire a rocket all willy nilly and kill the enemy without harming you. Sounds nice, I know, but where’s the decision making there? Where’s the consequence? Imagine that scenario but you’re shooting it out with two enemies, then I might take the shot knowing you’re dead meat anyway and the double kill will balance out the betrayal. There’s risk involved and strategy.

Also, when you get betrayed for a power weapon, you get to forget about trying to win or ignore whatever the objective may be and you now have the privilege of harassing that teammate the entire match. Make sure he never gets a kill with that weapon. Don’t betray him in return out-right, but shoot him enough with your AR so his shields are always down and the enemy can kill him in one hit. Lob frags at his feet. Make him betray you again so you can boot him from the match. Ruin the game for him. Make him regret his actions.

Murphy’s law man, “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong”. You can’t give the people that choice. Many will understand team work, but some will not, and there you’ll have a problem. I’ve said this before, it is true the 343 can’t completely remove friendly fire because of the balance and competitiveness, however, they can make a new playlist of both arena, team objetives without friendly fire and another playlist with friendly fire allowed, but extreme banning rules for those who betray. That way you know you’ll be getting into a playlist where other players understand that betraying is absolutely off the table, and please don’t tell me about unintentional betraying because the ban hammer can be programmed to differentiate intentional betraying.

This happens far too often. Friendly fire needs to go.

I think if you pick up weapon and are betrayed immediately after the option to kick team mate should be given. So if it is an accident a quick sorry could stop you from being kicked .

Yes all of this!

If some one who tries to kill me when I have a power weapon I try and jump off the edge of the map with it… just wish I could give the finger on the way down… oh you want the sniper… fine none of us will have it.

Hey! I’m a casual player and I shower everyday…besides it’s hard to play with dirty hands, can’t grip the controller properly…or so I’ve heard.

Says the word casual like its a bad thing. Plays zero professional competitive games. Call the pot black again bro.
Removing friendly fire would ruin halo, just as it did in halo 4. There is no way to stop ransoms from doing anything. If you want to stop it I’d suggest playing with friends.
