Right, i may be in a minority here, but i just had a few games of Team Slayer with some new Stateside friends i made online there,
there was 2 Reclaimers and 2 Mythics in my team, 1 of the Mythics being myself, now we kicked butt in a couple games, and then ran into a team of various ranked opponents, 1 being an Inheritor, and well, frankly they wiped the floor with us on Think Twice, think the final score was like 50/17 or thereabouts, but, here’s the thing, not one person on our team whined or moaned, quite the opposite infact, we all thought it was quite cool the way they were working as a team, the way a team should, though not to say we were not, they were just damn better, and watching the game back it was quite entertaining!!
So here’s the question, do you get wound up angry when you get -Yoink- whooped or do you take it on the chin and say fair play, you were the much better team??
Out of the team I play with, I’m probably the only one who can admit that there are indeed better players on Halo: Reach that us, and if we lose a game, I’m not one to moan at the other team but I insist on saying GG on the odd occasion while my team just go all quiet
While having my moments, I truly believe when the dust settles, the better players win 98% of the time. However they do it, whatever strategy, whatever tactic I tip my hat to them and move to the next match.
The only time I get pissed in games is when the players are shooting through walls and crap (A guy shot through a rock and a big metal piece). Other than that, I just sit back and just see what unfolds as I play. Heck, might get an exterm with one sniper bullet. I don’t say good game or you guys suck, I leave right after the game with no statements.
I don’t recall any time in reach where I got beaten badly. Ranks in this game mean nothing, most inheritors I have meet are a piece of cake. If anything I’ve annoyed the enemy team to death even if my team looses for the simple fact they just can’t kill me lol. Usually the scores are me with a ton of kills and my teammates having less than 4 and dying ten times a piece.
I really don’t care if I lost a match because my teammates were terribad, I’m used to that. As long as I did personally well I really don’t care. No incentive to win like Halo 3 so no reason to get annoyed over a silly statistical loss.
I suck at multiplayer, so I rarely venture in solo. I play a bit better with a group of friends and with that group, a butt-kicking doesn’t seem so harsh.
Yeah, so I take in on the chin (a lot frankly). But here’s to fair play and fun, two things I still truly believe in.

I gotta say, although I rarely find a team that wipes the floor with my team and I, when I do it makes me and my mates try and want a win that much more!
the only time I get extremely mad is when reaches terribly whacky physics kicks in and I die from some wierd thing such as a sword person lunging from a good halfway across the map to kill me, while I need to get very very close to kill them. But if they are just all out better, I couldn’t care less. they are better and deserve to make the other team rage
It feels good when people will message me good game when I do well, so why not do the same to someone else every now and then? I say every now and then because I run into more players that play great but have nasty things to say to everyone who didn’t do as good. The people stuck up their behinds I ignore.

I don’t get upset at the enemy team as if they won and it’s clearly due to superior teamwork and skill then I don’t mind.
What does tick me off is Halo: Reach’s matchmaking system pairing up weak players against strong players, having a landslide game nearly every game and calling it ‘Trueskill’.
