I’m new to halo but this is ridiculous. The pistol in halo 5 is way to overpowered. Period. I’m getting 1 shotted left and right by the -Yoinking!- gun and it’s stupid af. It make makes me wanna never play this -Yoink- again. And why do I have to put a whole clip into one person with the assault rifle JUST TO KILL ONE PERSON?
While I agree the H5 magnum is a bit op, but it’s not a 1-shot, I believe it takes 4-5 shots to the head to skill a spartan, it’s pretty much the meta in the game, as for the Ar, bullets takes like half a mag to take their shields down & if you shoot their head it does more damage
I think what OP is talking about is a bug. When Warzone Assault came back recently I noticed on two occasions where a precision weapon one shot me at full shields.
I think it’s a brief lag server side that causes the entire mag or multiple rounds to come out as one shot. Probably partially something to do with proppe mashing the shoot button.
I would like to see video of your claim. Next time it happens double tap the home button and tap x and record it. Then we can see what is going on.
Probably server issues, unless you are playing swat, or your shield is down, the pistol takes a minimum of 5 shots to kill. Pro(who am I kidding) tip for the AR, it’s a close range weapon, you need to be almost to shotgun range for maximum effectiveness. Also, there is a huge damage boost of you aim for the head.
The magnum is not a 1 shot kill. Unless if you are playing swat or as an infected and the only way you would die in one hit in one of those two modes is if they headshot you.
Halo plays differently compared to any other shooters you’ve played previously. Rather than shoot an enemy dead with a handful of rounds like Call of Duty, you have you take down a person’s energy shields then you can go in for the killing blow. When your shields are gone, you’re vulnerable to a headshot kill from any precision weapon like the Magnum in this case.

Yeah unless he’s talking about SWAT, which I know he’s not, I would like to see the footage too. I haven’t encountered it or heard of it before this thread.
