Greetings. Over the past few months I have been in a bit of a rut. My aim has been off and I am incapable of keeping up in a game and winning 1v1s. For context prior to this rut I would have considered myself a fairly good player (able to pull off perfections, for example, fairly easily). However, I would say around the time of the release of the monitors bounty update I haven’t been able to play anywhere near as well as I could. It is worth mentioning that only once I became aware of my own gameplay did this begin, and I feel that my desire to play well is throwing me off (anger, frustrating, the dark side, etc.). I know that these ruts work in cycles, so I must ask, what is the best method for breaking it. Having played this game for a considerable amount of time it is infuriating to suddenly not be able to play it well. I know that it is normal to have “off days”, but having these issues for a matter of months is a different situation entirely.
The thing I always recommend is to play with your controller settings a bit and maybe try out a new feel. Bad streaks happen and they’re exaggerated greatly when you get in your own head. I know once I start getting angry and frustrated it’s like a point of no return and I perform very poorly. Try to relax a bit and not think so much about what is frustrating you and maybe you’ll start to get back to your old style of play.
I have no idea why you made a new thread for this when you already have one.
