Get Xp Only When You Win

This would serve as a way better solution than the view on waypoint only CSR or what ever ranking thing that they were trying to throw at you.

Also discourages all the k/d -self censor- who contribute nothing to their teams

Would add a whole new layer of elitism and hate as well.

Though it would take way longer to level, I think the SR would mean alot more if this approach was taken. I wouldn’t mind, either way.

Also, SR would only be rewarded for killing and going for objectives.

like 70 SR for a single kill in TS, -20 SR for dying in TS

20 SR for single kills in Objective, - 500 SR for flag caps, and 10 SR a second for holding an odd ball/ staying in hill.

Headshots are + 5 SR

Snipes (headshot) are + 30 SR

Stickies are + 30 SR

Splatters are + 30 SR

Assassinations are + 30 SR

.etc

I agree completely.

People would actually TRY. In halo 3, everyone used mics. Because a loss was a waste of time. Everyone was playing to win, making the game more enjoyable for everyone.

I made pretty much this exact same thread a few weeks ago, and got flamed to no end by the nooby masses.

Prepare yourself!

until they fix FF or remove the ability of teammates to blow other teammates vehicles or until they add a boot system I would NOT want this, half the time I am stuck with idiots who try and blow up my vehicle(eve though we’re on the same team) and the other half of the time there are 5 people on my team just standing there (im guessing for the xp, even though they’re character never moves and all they contribute is deaths).

They really just need to drop the default amount of XP you get for any match. I dont think I’ve ever gotten much less than 2000 xp for a game, even on a loss or poor effort. If it were something like only 500 xp for a loss, I could get behind it. I don’t want to be overly rewarded for losing.

Sure, I’m in favor of this under only one condition: they stop letting randoms get paired up against parties of players. I’m so sick of getting stuck with a bunch of randoms and getting slaughtered by a party of friends.

It’s kind of sad how all the terrible guys who get like 22 kills and 28 deathes in TS get more XP than somebody who has 15 kills and 4 deaths.

-Yoink-! xp for skill and kills not for win only. because when i get in a game that is near the and and my team is wining and i did nothing for that. i get the xp for the win and that for free an i didnt do anything for that. that would not be fair.

I don’t know if I completely agree with the logic. I go 18 kills 5 deaths, but my team loses because I had a crappy team therefore I don’t get any experience? I think that will force the community to lean to FFA more

It would be nice; right now barely anyone cares about winning and just plays selfishly, since the game rewards them for doing so.

A compromise would be to alter your XP for a match based on whether or not you win or lose. If you win your XP gets doubled and if you lose your XP gets halved or something.

sounds fair to me, plus the medial u have earned.

Terrible idea, people who just started playing the game would be stuck spawning with the assault rifle forever. Even if they become half decent at the game they would be spawning with an assault rifle while everyone else starts with the dmr/br, making it harder for his/her team to win.

No.

Because when you have to actually win to receive any experience at all, you create an atmosphere of hatred and discouragement and make games so competitive that if you do poorly you’re and harassed and blamed.

NO

Sorry for the harsh remark but it wouldn’t work. I think Halo 3 had a bad ranking system as it was based on wins, not an individuals skill.

Say you were one of the most elite players known to man, unless you played FFA only, you would have the exact same skill level as everyone else because simply you aren’t always on the winning team. Halo is a very team based game. So you as the elite play is now getting beat because the noobs on your team are getting destroyed by moderate players.

I believe the ranking system should have a prestige system. You would still keep all your stuff and you get a big, highlighted number by your spartan to show how many times you’ve prestiged. The only difference is that you are now level 1 but everyone knows you’ve hit the level cap 30 times by that huge glowing 30 under your service tag.

That would be absolutely and incredibly stupid. If you only got EXP from wins, nobody would stay till the end of the match. The game’s annoying as hell already when you lose, you really wanna make that worse?

if youd like to see the pop. decrease even more.
